Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 13 6:58 am)
In ultra mode:is slower than in Vue4 because e-on found that it was a little bit noisy in some cases, they therefore raised the anti-aliasing quality threshold and, moreover, there is texture anti-aliasing which is applied, a feature that was not available in Vue4, which slows down rendering, but reduces moirpatterns significantly, for high spacial frequency materials. Superior mode is the rendering level I use and find much quicker. `shoop

So far every post that has mentioned Vue Pro rendering speeds has noted that its faster than Vue 4 - but I'm finding just the opposite. Vue Pro renders much slower. I've just rendered the exact same scene at Ultra in both Vue 4 and Vue Pro: the Vue 4 render took just under 13 minutes; the Vue Pro render took 1 hour and 46 minutes!! All I can think is that maybe the Pro 'Ultra' is rather more ultra than Vue 4's 'Ultra' but I can't see much difference in the finished renders. Has anyone else noticed Pro being slower or am I the only one?
