I need to get some Neon Signs for poser..or possibly vue.. Marketplace product or Free doesn't matter..but it must be for commercial use..The style of the pic I need them for would be a NeoTokyoish style city scene.. something along the lines of this would be great.. http://shopping.corbis.com/search/details.asp?search=neon+lights&key=9339159&sp=181 Anybody seen anything like this around here? thanx for your help!

if you can tell me what you want written and what font i can make you some up real quick, you'll just need to add a cube and cylinder as the base for the sign.......Steve

Thanx that's really nice of you! Although the text is what is the main problem.. i don't know japanese..and I don't want to have just random letters without any meaning to them .. I'll get back to you if I can find something to put on there :) Thanx for the offer!

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle, I was just about to post the very same request. Steve, how about a Poserworld Neon sign kit :-) best wishes Jody

Ah now the Japanese might be a problem as i don't have any fonts but if there is anything that might work or look right i'll try and help...Good idea Jody :o)..i could just do the alphabet and have some signs to add the letters too......Steve

Another good idea ;o)...any 3d app that supports fonts with splines....in Cinema 4d (works in the freebie from 3dworld) create a spline primative/text..then double click on the text icon in object manager and change the text and font....Create a spline circle or whatever shape you want the cross section of your light to be, and scale...then create a sweep nurbs(SN)....Drag the text into the SN then drag the Circle into the SN..don't worry if you get that the wrong way just drag swap them.....if the lighht is to thin or thick just scale the circle...now create a material and choose a color in the color channel than check the glow box and close...now add this to the Sweep nurbs and your good to go ;o).....Steve

They're not neon, and it's not Japanese, but would the billboards of Neo-Beijing be of any help? :-) China Billboard prop by Nekote & Terrace; check the link for download.

I just saw that you mentioned Vue. You can pretty much neon-ize anything in Vue d'Esprit. Use the Materials Editor, click the "Effects" tab, and play around with the "glowing material" settings.
