those of you that have any of these characters, can you give me an opinion of them?

I usually make what I want/need for my projects. But these are three characters that I have decided to get...so Im just curious as to what all I should get to get the most out of them.

thanx

She is adorable. She helps you communicate with younger siblings and children. ;) But she can also be quite adult and dark, especially if expanded by Puppet. :)

I'm seroiusly thinking of getting Windtalker as well. I have Koshini and I think she's great! Ichiro too! I just wish there were more fantasy warrior type outfits for her - and him! Normally I don't buy character packs because I like to make my own, but Windtalker looks great!

MachineClaw ( ) posted Mon, 29 September 2003 at 5:00 PM

I bought Koshini and Ichiro and there is plenty of free clothing to get started, I haven't bought anything for either model because of the generious people that contribute freestuff for them. Lots of morphs, and very well designed characters. Only 4 fingers if that makes any difference. Nosferatu? The new Sixus1 character? I have not gotten that model, however Sixus1 models are really fun, there is an addon 'vampire' outfit cape thingy coming out. I have not been disaponted with Sixus1 products. I personally prefer Sixus1's Trixie and RuntimeDNA's LaRoo over Koshini, but have then all. Dunno what Windtalker is.

Im really not interested in ichiro..but koshini is the most original character that has come out in a long time, so I want to get her. As for her having four fingers (and 4 toes)..I intend to fix that and either find a way to make a update and distribute it myself or get the creator to distribute the fix..as this is the only complaint I've ever heard about her..that should be the end of that huh?. :P I think I'll call her "koshini 5-fingers"...with five fingers, five toes..a modified cr2 and a very simple way to put the new hands and feet in place (and use the same morphs, and texture packs she already has)..shouldnt be that big of deal when I get time to do it. btw machineclaw, I think Windtalker is the most attractive character to ever hit the poser market...I dont buy models (ive only ever bought 2 things), but one look at the images in the showcase was enuff for me..check them out if you have time. the clothing pack for nosferatu isnt ready yet..so I guess I'll have to wait, or just pass and make it myself. It depends on the time it takes for it to be completed. I need it now for my project..lol. :) BT

Ah yes, I have LaRoo as well as Koshini. They're both good. LaRoo can be 'group-up' as well as young, but in my opinion you really have to play with her morphs. I'm not fond of her 'out-of-the-box' look. :) I like Ichiro too. :)

for Ichiro and Koshini. Koshini & Ichiro Armor of the Ancients available in the MP here is superb. Also, for Ichiro I have a LARGE fantasy set in freestuff available. Nosferatu is on my to buy list. I have to have it before Halloween. Anything by Sixus is great. Koshini is amazing. Very different from any other character, and tons of freestuff for her. She's also very easy to model for. Capices Puppet for Koshini really adds to her too. She's got the most cartoon type feel of any of the new characters.

I have Laroo, and she seriously needs some consideration. I love her, I just wish there were more body morphs already, but that will come, she is very new. She is more adult than Koshini IMHO (I don't have Koshini yet, I am not into cute, but she is a good looking figure from what I have seen). BTW, if I did have Koshini, I surely would buy Puppet. If Capsces makes a set of morphs for any character, it's always well worth it to get it. She adds such versatility to any character! JDexter

I have Nosferatu, all the Trixie iterations (another Sixus1 product) and LaRoo. I would second JDexter's on LaRoo....nice little model with great eyes! I believe RDNA has a free Inj-Rem Maker for LaRoo that's been updated to include a file cleaner utility and MAT Pose Maker. There are also 50 free head morphs. All can be found on the front page. Plus, there are a lot of characters and now more clothing being created for LaRoo. I love the Sixus models :) Nosferatu is awesome! The texturing on this puppy is great! Trixie is a wonderful alternative to LaRoo and Koshini. I really like Trixie. The Sixus stuff is very easy to work with. The only problem is that clothing is limited, but the price is sure right! Plus, they occupy a bit of a niche I would say....not intended to really compete with any of the above, but as a welcome alternative to some of the things we see all the time. They would be great for anyone wanting to do cartoon stuff.

If you are into Native American themes WindWalker is a real good package. I used the same packages, minus Quaker's Slinky hair, in this render. It might give an insight as how she looks in the hands of an amature.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

I don't think Koshini & Ichiro are "broken" because of their 4 digits. I rather like that aspect of them.

elektra ( ) posted Mon, 29 September 2003 at 9:02 PM

pdxjims - is that the free robin hood outfit? I believe I do have that downloaded. I guess I would like to see something along the lines of Gorodin's outfits for Koshini and Ichiro. I haven't really checked out the Armor of the Ancients for them yet. I also like the four fingers. I like that difference.

randym77 ( ) posted Mon, 29 September 2003 at 9:22 PM

Caly, those are all Laroo? I personally find the images they have of her in the RDNA store hideous - a lot scarier-looking than Nosferatu! - but yours are really nice. Were those done with dials?

pokeydots ( ) posted Tue, 30 September 2003 at 12:03 AM

BT, if you get Koshini, then Puppet by capsces is a must! With puppet the faces and body types can lead to many more characters, young and old, thin and fat!

Yes randy, those are all LaRoo. They're all dials too, some in the negatives, some you wouldn't expect, like Alien. I think I must have twisted EVERY head dial the girl has. :D I couldn't stand her default face, but a few of her promos had hinted at what she could be, so I eventually decided to give her a try. I was SO glad when they came out with the free face morphs pack for her. :D I want even more morphs! :) Yoo hoo, Capsces.... ;)

This is Laroo also, with only dial turning.

This is why I like her so much, she can be very sultry.

I had no idea! I might have to consider buying Laroo. If Laroo can look like that, I wonder why RDNA chose the unattractive default that they chose?
