I can't decide on which of these to submit (neither particularly great). Two important historical events for me were the launch of Sputnik I which becan the "Space Race" and the arrest of Rosa Parks for not surrendering her bus seat to a white man (which galvanized the US civil rights movement). What do you think?

Er, bacan= began

these are both great---I think i like the rosa parks one better, but they both look pretty good!

I am with woodhurst. I like Rosa Parks better. Where did you get the police outfit?

Rosa Parks, I concur. It's great, realistic pose for the officer!

Thanks. I guess I'll go with Parks, tho, it is very "Poser-ish" The characters are V3 and M1 with clothes from PoserWorld. Bus interior is from CreepyClown's site, re-uv'd with negative lights and gels for the wording on the bus wall. The Sputnik is 100% Bryce, no post work. Historical notes: Sputnik was a very low atmosphere orbit, this pic is probably more like that of a geosynchronous orbit. The "nightstick" on the cop is a PR-24 which wasn't introduced until the late '60's

In the great scheme of things I think the Sputnik ended up have the most effect on the greatest number of people....for me it marks a major step forward in the development of technology and advancement of mankind toward the ultimate goal of the stars. I've never heard of the Rosa Parks incident, and while I appreciate that the 'Human Rights' issue is a very imotive one and deserves our attention, at the time it seems to me to be only a page in the book of man's inhumanity to man. There have been much more serious inhumane events since. However, render-wise, I like the sputnik, although the antennea should be longer and the sphere itself was silver in texture.....
