apparently. So many people obeyed the rules and didn't post images to other galleries before the judging on the Platinum Club Gallery. But other people on the other hand had their images posted elsewhere up until the week before the judging, pulling their image from Renderosity just before the judging at Daz....when they might be checking to see if people are being honest. Lord knows that I can't say who it is...since everybody will be all over my butt saying I am a sour grapes liar. But they know who they are and it just pisses me off somebody benefited by being a jerk. Next time maybe could play by the rules like everybody else?

Well.. I actually posted my image here first too. Wasn't paying attention and missed that part of the rules at the DAZ site. I got an email from DAZ that it was up to me to either pull my image at other galleries or not participate in the monthly contest. So I decided not to participate at DAZ, since alot of people had already seen the image here at Renderosity.. So I thought that just wouldn't be fair to the other Artists who entered the contest. Next time I know not to post those images here first :o) It was an honest mistake though..

Oh I wasn't after you Antje...somebody there new about the rules, said they didn't care (when I pointed out the rule to him) and now they have a print of their work to reward them for their cheating.

Did you let Daz know? Really, it's their site and they are the ones that need to be notified. If I felt as strongly as you do, then I would do that.

I went to look as a result of this thread, and found posting for November of 2003. I am just wondering how Daz manages to have submissions a month ahead? I figured someone who participates might have the answer to the question. Daz doesn't have to worry about me entering any contests...I'm just being snoopy.

The winners of the latest vote become the featured PClub gallery images for the following month... so the winners of the vote at the end of September become the permanent items in the gallery of October.

Well I did let them know...but since he managed to pull the image from Rosity two day before the judging began, I had no proof.

Ooh. They must have changed the rules recently. :D

I was wondering why some of the more spectacular images were gone by the time the voting came around. Lunaseas - when you pointed out this fact to the person who cheated, was it in a chat or a post? If you can point DAZ to the post where he said he didn't care? I think that sucks big time!

Well, if you archived the IM, you'd at least have a record of it to show Daz. Hindsight is always so useful. :( It's too bad but I hold on to the hope that the things people do turn back on them, for good and for bad. That's not very satisfying, I know, but sometimes it's all we have.

Well I'm a dummy and dumped his IM, oh well.....hopefully someday it will bite him in the butt.

Well, I'm still trying to figure out how Daz knows who won in October so they put them in the gallery for November. I'm slow these days. He'll get his, perhaps sooner than later. The problem is with all this is that he is enjoying himself thoroughly and we are the ones irritated and angry. It's not worth it, in the long run.

I'm of the mind that "Whatsoever ye shall do for good or bane shall return to ye threefold." The turkey will get theirs in the end. Also, try using Trillian if you can. It automatically keeps a history of your IM's.

Karma is a weird and strange beast that blindly goes around and comes around. It all balances out in the end eventually. :D
