Does anybody know of any other email address to contact Allie other than the one she has at AOL server????? That one is full and not accepting further messages..obviously she hasn't checked for quite a while so my message got returned... If anyone could share another email address to reach her, I'd be most grateful! Thanks! :o) renapd

I don't know any other address but if it's in regards to her conforming curls, I do not know why she has not reposted it. However, Confusius has made a prop version of it with like 48 morphs. Same textures work on it. I've been using it off and on. Since it's a prop, the figure can be saved to the library with the hair intact.

Rena, she had some disagreement with the hosts here--see 'complaint and debate'-- and I think she is not posting any longer--it had to do with her 'hair' disappearing from the Freestuff. I do have one other address since she at one time requested a texture I had done. I'll send it privately.

Picnic..I'm familiar with the issue...and Dreamspinner..Allie's hair is part of most of my characters! :o) That's why I want to contact her! I want her permission to post the file under her name at the Talented Hosted Friends section of Fairywoods if she agrees! Too many newbies around and I keep getting bundles of messages asking of where to get the specific hair! I don't want to follow the solution given by others and start re-distributing! I've always believed that credit goes to where it's due, transformation or no transformation! Even Barbarella's hairstyle is made out of those transculrs -applied twice & posed using her transmap but a texture of my own...sigh!

I was offering it as a solution if Allie does not give you permission to host her file. I think it's sad that this has happened. The file was lost from freestuff and she simply could have just re-established a link in the freestuff. Perhaps after a while she will do so. Confusius was just an alternative.

AAAAACK! I go away for a few months and another one of my favorites has been chased away. DAMN! I may have a link to her web page somewhere...I did notice that she was contributing as recently as 7/17 to the complaint forum. MAYBE she is off on vacation somewhere-the SouthUS is mighty hot and muggy right now! Eric Walters

Here is the plain and simple truth. Allerlieruh was one of the top ten contributers in this place due to her transmapped hair being in the freestuff. All was happy. One sad unfortunate day Allerlieruh's hair "mysteriously" disappeared from the freestuff, no one knows how, or why, but it did nevertheless. Allerlieruh became quite angered by this, (understandably so), and she let her rage and her "accusations" go. She felt quite strongly that it was one of us, either by accident, or on purpose, and she was NOT impressed! We tried to let her know that unfortunatly glitches do occur and that none of us deleted it, either by accident or otherwise, but she did not wish to hear this, she evidently wanted more; what, we don't know, and the argument continued, and then just as abrubtly ended. We are NOT here to chase people away, that is NOT what this forum is about Eric; but at the same time it is difficult to apoligize for something that just DID NOT HAPPEN, and unfortunatly, as intelligent and as talented as Allie is, (I would never dispute that), she was persistant with her accusations and her unrelenting vendetta to find out "her" own truth about her disappearing hair that just did not exist. As a result of this incredibly unfortunate mishap and a lot of "hot under the collar" conversations as a result of this, Allerieruh seems to have disappeared. So please Eric, I trust you to be aware enough to understand how rumors can flare, so please don't fuel them with more unsound truths, the "chasing" you refer to just DID NOT HAPPEN. I do apoligise to Rena for interjecting her thread like this, sorry Rena, please forgive me, I just felt like something had to be said. Take care all, ~3D ;-)

I'm very sad to hear that. She was one of my favorite people here.

Uh, 3d Sorry, missed the whole issue-being gone. I do know how misunderstandings flare when tempers are hot-going through this with an old friend right now- To ALL-I have NO info about Anyone being chased away and have not seen any writings! I mistakenly jumped to a conclusion TOO hastily! Actually, the only forum where that SEEMED to happen was not this one-and truth be told-there was likely a MISUNDERSTANDING and assumptions involved. MOST prohlems come from someone making assumptions-that may turn out not to be true. Sometimes it is best to just "let it go" Maybe Allie will come back-I hope so. Eric

Stormrage ( ) posted Tue, 01 August 2000 at 1:17 AM

rena.. send me the email you want forwarded and I will forward it. I don't want to give out her email without her permission but maybe I can help you get in touch with her. Storm

Eric Walters ( ) posted Tue, 01 August 2000 at 1:32 AM

Rena I found her homepage, and sent an email asking if I could send you her email-but it came back as undeliverable. best luck, Eric Walters

I'm very sorry to hear this news too, and I hope that she does in fact return someday soon. Allie always seemed to speak up for the rights of the artists here, and I wanted her to know that I really appreciated the numerous times she stuck up for me and the other members during some of the recent heated discussions on this forum. I hope I for one can be watching Allie's back the next time the whiners, nay-sayers, and versionthirteens of the world start in on her. :) Take care. SnowS Hoping his pictures are worth 1001 words.

I believe that when Allie is ready she WILL come back on her own! Meanwhile I've forwarded my request to all her email accounts (Diane..the real one you sent privately also included) and I keep hoping that soon she'll reply with a yes or no! As to the rest of members here...it's true that we don't always check out the rest of forums that don't immediately interest us..but I've found the Complaints and NEWS one as the most enlightening of what's going on around recently! So pay a visit to those ones from time to time just to keep up with the latest events, complaints, etc...but before you do..make sure you are feeling on your best otherwise be ready to get depressed or spoil your night or even worse, get tempted to reply nasty to someone feeling he/she really deserves it at that moment!..actually what I do when I'm there is keep taking deep breaths!.. It helps a lot to think over twice before replying and I'm glad I find the sense to do so! :o)

Allie has a temper, that much I do know (i've seen it flare up; fortunately I don't seem to have been the target, but still...). She's very talented, but it seems many talented artists share this trait... Hopefully she'll be back after she cools off, but having seen some of the discussions in the Contact board, where she got into a shouting match with Jack and half of the staff, I don't know if she WILL cool off. The problem was that she immediately assumed that someone was either malicious or incompetent (or at least her posting IMPLIED that - it's VERY easy to misread the intent of a post online, since there's no tonal inflection or body language to supplement the words), and she got a snide reply essentially saying "Either apologize and re-word that or we won't help you" followed by Jack trying to balance being civil with outrage at her reaction towards one of his staff. Allie then apparently demanded that THEY apologize to her, and I stopped reading the thread after that... Lost links sometimes happen; database corruption can afflict even the best system (I know; I've been victim of it myself), and I suspect that's what happened to her file, a pointer got lost or reassigned either by human error or file corruption. Unfortunately, egos got in the way of resolving a problem, and this forum may have lost a member (as well as an invaluable resource) as a result. Only time will tell.
