A little more about the contest from Dee-Marie, co-editor-in-chief: Renderosity Magazine is trying something new, and we would like to know what you think of this idea. We are running a writer's contest for the first time in the Renderosity's Contest Section. As this is the first time a writer's contest has been conducted in this manner, we would like to get your views on what you think - and of course, while you are there, you can always post an entry. Please note: For the writer's contest - there is a Winner for the Top Poetry entry and for the Top Short Story ONLY; however, all entries have a chance to win the Book Marry your muse [autographed by the author] in a random drawing.

The Renderosity Magazine Contests Are Go!

The Renderosity Magazine editors invite community members to enter one or both contests for Issue 8: Cover Contest contest, which ends at noon, Oct 5; and/or Bonus Online Content Writer's Contest contest, which ends at noon, Oct 11th.

Take a dare, or just have some fun, join in and help make Issue 8 the best one yet!

Just a thought, since there is no place on the contest page itself to post a thought. :) The banner at the top of this page reads, in part: "Online Graphic Artist's Community" It might be fun to have a writing contest...probably with a less seasonal theme...and then in the following issue of the magazine hold a contest to illustrate the winning written piece from the previous issue. Since different folks would choose different bits to illustrate you might also create a kind of "community story board" for the piece. The idea needs some rounding out...but I think it would be very interesting to see the variety of styles all applied to one story or poem. Just a thought :)

I'm lovin' that idea. I'm going to flag that for the magazine team. Thank you!!!
