Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 23 7:38 pm)
Go into free stuff and d/load Morph Manager. Then transfer all of the morphs from Vickie Morph to Vickie Map. Then wonder how you ever managed without Morph Manager (grin). Seriously, MM is one of the finest Poser utilities there is and I don't think Mason gets enough thanks for it. It allows the transfer of morph targets between figures at the click of a button. And, IIRC, the MAP version of Victoria is the texture mapped (i.e. it has UV co-ordinates) version of Vickie Paul
Ethan- I'm under the impression that the Vickie Map that I have includes all the Morphs on Vickie Morph (they may have revised it after Paul bought it). Anyway, I think that Vickie is the original, Vicki morph is the updated Vickie, but like the original doesn't have a texture map, the colors are just set in Materials, (which is why she looks awful), Vickie Map is what you got when you bought the texture maps (you should have a Map 2, as well, they revised it). Some of the stuff may be missing from each, depending when you bought it, so you could use Paul's suggestion, and some of the settings may be different, maybe Vicki Morph has the lashes set to 1.0, I'm unsure. Anyway, if I was doing a texture map I'd start with Vickie Morph, and set the dials the way I wanted, then save a new set. While your at it, you could delete original Vickie, she is of no further use!
I bought the map, hair and, fantasy and vicky. But I only have 1 Vicky map in my list!??!? Wrong installation? Strange ... What i did is ... I open the Vicky Map and check the material ... wrote down everything, which textures ... blabla ... than I open the morph and check anything to the settings the map have. But the eyelashes under the eyes are not visible ... and other things are not correct! :-( Help!
Ethan- There is also a transparency map for the eyelashes, I don't know which item came with it at this stage, but it would make the eyelashes look very faint in the normal working view if it was turned on, they don't show correctly until you render. But in any case, they all use the same object file, so each should be capable of being set to look like another one, provided the correct morphs are present.
Here what I got from Zygote. These are the original names, none of them changed by me: 1) Vicki Map 2) Vicki Map2 3)Vicki 4) Victoria Map Morphs 5) Victoria Map 6) Victoria Map2 Morphs 7) Victoria Morphs Map 8) Victoria Morphs Map2 9) Victoria Morphs 10) Victoria I will not detail to all Vicki clothes, hairs, Faerie, etc... What Iam doing wrong? What does the MAP means??? Hope somebody can tell me this! Thank you
