Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 11 12:18 am)
If you fixed her position (she needs to be lower IMO) and made her hair and skin look wetter, you could probably get away with it. People who see someone like that will automatically associate it with swimming first, if the environment is right (swimming pool instead of chemical works, for example :). You won't get photorealism without resorting to a third party renderer or post work, so it's probably best not to try if Poser is all you have.

on one side, i think you can understand that whatever victoria is floating on is water, but on the other side, I don't think it looks good at all... first, I don't think i can do much in Poser, so I have no way of making the water right around victoria all distorted due to vicki's swimming (I know her position is all wrong, and her skin is all dry... I just put her there as reference). Second, I know bodies under water look different when viewed from outside, but how can i emulate this in poser? Vicki could be swimming in gelatine or wavy glass, for all I know. and Third, is water normally that wavy? I think I can fix that, at least, oversizing the body of water until it looks less wavy.
so here's the thing: I don't think I can accomplish much more than this regarding water in Poser (be it 4 or 5)... but, does it look ok enough to say "ok, here's a woman swimming in water" or it looks so unconvincing that you'd go "what the hell is she swimming in??".
I'll really appreciate feedback in this matter.
thnx
