I just saw a banner ad (an unobtrusive banner ad, by the way) that said: "DAZ STUDIO COMING DECEMBER 2003!" There you go folks! We now have a countdown date. Wheeeee! :) -Tim PS> Sorry if someone else already posted this, I did a quick search but didn't see anything.

Ah yes, I see. There's a screenshot of it as well!! I guess now we know what it's camera system is... looks confusing (but I'm sure it's good).

Last line on the screen: Finished rendering in 29.7 secs. It probably referees to the cartoon render in upper left image.

Wow! It's coming along pretty good. I think, being as it's a different program, it's going to do things a bit differently. An adjustment period will be needed. I personally can't wait to take it for a test drive!

I think the cameras look great. I don't see any lighting controls though. Perhaps another tab that's yet to come?

From the looks of it, each window can be seperatly opened and closed. I love the hierarchy tree for selecting body parts and material zones. I bet the right mouse click works too. The lights are probably further down the scene list. I have no idea how well it actually works, but the interface looks very nice. hmmmm... December. Something to combat the holiday blahs!

I'm just happy to see that the freak has big "hulk" feet. :D Steve Kondris said it was coming this year so i kinda figured that it'd be comin out in time for the (god I hope they do it again) customer appreciation sale. (though I fear they are on to the gift certificate thing. :( ) I'm so excited I could fall over. I wonder if THIS is gonna be the big suprise that we were supposed to find out about in the weekly newsletter that Steve said was coming yesterday? Now I really am glad I re-uped at platinum club.

Although thanks to the OpenGL views, pre-renders like that one are probably not often necessary. Talk about saving a lot of time and increasing productivity and workflow. Still amazes me that Curious dropped the ball on this very important feature for 5. -Tim

The program does look promising.
