Subject: An outsider's view on poser and Vicky's breasts...

xil ( ) posted Sat, 11 October 2003 at 8:20 AM · edited Sat, 30 November 2024 at 6:03 PM

You might find this amusing. I shoot textures of people, and when one of the models asked I showed her poser.
She played with a bit, going right to the chest dials.
"I bet most people make huge breasted bimbos with this" she said
I allowed that there was a tendancy toward that with some people.
"and of course the company that made the model knows this right?" she asked "then why didnt they put as many polygons in her breasts as they did her face?" *

  • Actually she said pixels, but I didnt want to confuse things

Intresting, but breasts don't amuse me. I got rid of most of mine due to back pain! yikes!!!! although it is an intresting fact to know that The fasion model vicky model, if you place with her face dials enough her face turns into a mans face!now thats funny!

Now wait a minute! Some people use Poser to make huge-breasted intellectual women with careers!

dialyn ( ) posted Sat, 11 October 2003 at 11:09 AM

Yeah, right. As if you could tell from a Poser graphic that women had any career except nude or semi-nude modeling, temple optional. Intellectual? Does anyone focused on blobs of fatty tissue on the chest care if the woman has a brain or not? She can be a serial murderer, a gold digger, a brilliant artist or inventor, stupid as a rock, smart as Einstein, but the blobs of falling flesh take precedence over everything else for some people. Which says something about them and not about her.

hmm..I could mention that Mike displays a tendency towards the uh, overdeveloped as well, looks like a pro wrestler at times..his pecs seem to occasionally cover as many cubic inches as the over-mammalianated Vicky..;)

I use Poser and the DAZ meshes for fun and recreation. When I want a companion or some intellectual company, I go out and find a real person. But I digress. More polygons in the breast area. Now there's a thought. I did hear someone say "Victoria 4" - right? I mean, didn't I? Seriously though, could more polys be added to V3 as is? A sort of clone-morph, perhaps? Dials and all?

Ay, ay, ay! Dialyn, my response was a leetle joke. I'm not exactly the NVITWAS type, ya know. I do the very occasional pinup, but not as a matter of regular rendering by any means. You do make good points, but believe it or not, I'm with ya on this subject. Besides, all my female friends are highly intelligent, independent, and very motivated ... in spite of their good looks. :-)

I am not guilty of this by reason of insanity... When I was a baby and I was hungry and crying, a huge breast was shoved in my face. When I sucked on it, my hunger was satisfied, and I no longer cried. Therefore, I claim I was brainwashed into my breast obsession, by a WOMAN!!!

believe it or not- even some of us pinup artist strive for a more realistic look instead of the mammary back breakers

I must admit that I'm rather partial to intellectual women with lots of polygons in the chest area!... :)

Huge breasted intellectual woman? like this maybe?

an old shot from an older shoot... I had all these castings of brains....

You mean a woman's IQ is NOT proportional to her breast size? Wow, that's going to be a difficult paradigm shift! :)

lmckenzie ( ) posted Sun, 12 October 2003 at 12:45 AM

In some societies/cultures it's buttocks. In the days of low cut gowns overflowing with cleavage, a glimps of a well turned ankle was a turn-on. I doubt women are interested in the IQs of the Chippendales dancers either. In other words, I don't think we should get too worked up about the social or political implications of the human libido. Fortunately, while there may be an "ideal," there's always someone for everyone in terms of body types and attraction. We do need more intelligent, rich, beautiful women with large breasts who like skinny guys though from my perspective :-)

too many polygons and you get a rippling shadows like "cottage cheese thighs" accross the skin. As many polys as in the head would make the breasts look mottled under shadows

But, Anton, with more polys we could have rotating nipples with flashing lights going round and round the edge of the aureola. That way, with no shadows, no one would notice any mottling of the skin! I'm remembering an ancient burlesque show where they brought back some of the early performers. One had 4 tassels rotating in all directions from Sunday. Fascinating ...and nobody said a word about cottage cheese. Carolly

Too many polygons? Cottage cheese? Please tell me this is a limitation of Poser. Tell me that eventually we'll have polygon per epidermal cell breasts moving in real time. Tell me that by then I'll still want to look at them.

And there I was, thinking number of polygons followed importance - my illusions are shattered.
