I have noticed after updating Poser 4.03 with the update memory manager fix, I have experienced a few crashes. I reported the crash to Curious Labs tonight(10-11-03). I know I will not get a response for a few days or so. I have a 1.7 celeron 128 L2 cache, 512 megs DDR ram with VM 2 gig swap file. I had a scene that I was making a second image for. The contents included V2,a t-shirt,shorts,(props-pearls,diamond ring) Grace Lion Hair. M1 with shirt, pants and Doc shoes with the Wedge Cut. A casual girl(P4 std) with DAZ morphing glasses and Koz ponytail. PoserTree, picture frame and telephone(props from freestuff) 4 lights(3 infinite 1 w shadow, 1 spotlight-no shadow)and a grass plane. I was modifying poses, clicked on michael's hand to move it in the y-axis and CRASH. I was so annoyed. I know...save...save...save....etc. I got the details of the error in the error box with a screen capture. see below. I was wondering if anybody else has experienced this crash. If anybody has suggestions, lemme know. DayTimer

One suggestion: Try updating your display driver. (Or maybe downgrading...) bip77

I installed that memory thing and it crashed my system to the floor. I got rid of it and never had a problem with memory. Did you have a memory problem or did you just install it because it was there? That's what I did and apparently didn't need it. Marque

Because it was there, basically. IN reply to bip77, I am already running the latest drivers for that particular card. I guess my only other option is to upgrade my video card.

You didn't say what operating system, but I've found with XP that crashing any program is only a matter of time. 95 and 98 are of course famous for the "Blue Screen of Death". My Linux box, in contrast, has never crashed, even with four desktops open. I tend to believe that Poser also doesn't release unused memory after it's done with it, the longer I use it, and the more different projects I've worked on, the slower and less reliable it gets. A reboot seems to take care of it, maybe automatically rebooting between scenes is an answer.

Sorry 'bout that...I am using Windows 98SE. I was in the habit of saving quite often and rebooting about 2 or 3 times a day. But lately after starting that particular project, I guess I lost track of time and my resources got eaten up quicker than I thought.
