Im having a problem reloading Poser scenes containing Curio's Ent (Poser 4 Pro pack w/all patches).

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a new scene
2. Add the Ent (there is no picture thumbnail in the library palette, BTW)
3. Save the scene file
4. Close the scene file
5. Reopen the scene file

I get the error: Cannot open the resource file RuntimelibrariescharacterCurios CreaturesCurio Ent.obj.

The obj file is located in the Geometriescurios creatures path. Tried to re-install from the zip file, and also tried deleting the .rsr file, neither of which helped.

heyas; sometimes poser likes to continually re-corrupt geometry rsrs. here's what to do: go into the geometries directory where the ent is and delete the curio ent.rsr that should be in there. (note: dont delete the rsr that is in the libraries directory, that'd be the thumbnail.) now, start poser and load the ent. if it has any geometry swapping parts, you need to swap through each variant before this next step. (not sure what happens if you dont, it might be okay.) switch out of poser and pop up... whatever it is you use to find your files, and set the newly-built geometry rsr (it'll be where you deleted it before) to read-only. that should fix it. :) i hope!

Hey thanks for the Read Only tip Bloodsong, I've been getting a lot of rsr corruption lately especially if Poser crashes and then I try to reload the scene. I just delete ALL the rsr's in the Geometries folders and back in business. ..gee, I really got get your Book then I'd know these things already right?! ;p

The "Troubleshooting" section is just incredible. That alone is worth the price! I've already had help from it many times.

Cannot open the resource file RuntimelibrariescharacterCurios CreaturesCurio Ent.obj. Something in the CR2 has the wrong path..it migrated itself to the pz3. Note it's looking for the obj in the character folder, not Geometries.

heyas; aha! obj files get stuck in the libraries path when you use the grouping tool in p5 (and i think pro pack). that's where poser stores the changed geometry nowadays. unless curio put it there when he made the ent. did you use the grouping tool, d?

From the zip file I received, the .obj file is in the "Geometriescurios creatures" path. The cr2, png, and rsr files are in the "LibrariescharacterCurio's Creatures" path. I tried wiping out these two folders and grabbing the files from the zip, but the same thing happened. Nothing seems to be modified during Poser use. I emailed Curio but got no response yet. Dan
