Subject: New DAZ Character--- DUKE NUKEM! -- Get The Chain gun NOW!

Veritas777 ( ) posted Fri, 17 October 2003 at 6:29 PM · edited Mon, 20 January 2025 at 11:21 AM

Well, NOT yet, but the Chain gun is NOW in the DAZ Freebie section. That, with the Morphing Flat-Top and some M3 dial twisting on a Muscular Body, and I think it might just work! Actually, having just gotten the new M3 Soldier and finding he was UNARMED, had me worried that the UN had already taken over things! But with this new Chain gun, its BACK TO BUSINESS!!! And- previous post below looking for Porky Pig got me thinking- What about PORKY PIG with the Morphing Flat-Top and the DAZ Chain gun! A DEADLY combination!

Puh-Leeeeeeeeeze. M3 as Duke? Y'think Duke would stand for looking like a girly-girl? ~lmao~

Apperantly ye know not who ye speak to. Veritas is former number one M3 hater, now a convert. :D

Well, I certainly didn't know that about Veritas.
So, the position of #1 M3 hater is now vacant?
Are there application forms? ~lol~ Seriously, I just don't think M3 could ever look MAN enough for a character like Duke. He's very pretty, but a rough, tough, "I go where I please and I please where I go" sort a guy? And until they get those odd looking shoulders/upper arms sorted out...Nah-ah.

Yeah Duke was the game for quite a while. Played my first mod (platoon) on D3d. Pity 3d realms dropped the ball so bad and killed the franchise.

slinger, My husband says that every time I've used the new M3. I'm not buying anymore M3 stuff. I just don't use men very much in my posts.

I became a fan of M3 after having a nice chat with the DAZ folks about 10 days ago. They said LOTS of NEW LOOKS for M3 were coming out soon- like "Barbarian" ("Looks Like" Governor Conan the Terminator), Hercules (Hairy, Ballsy, Big Muscles- NOT a girly-man!)and of course THE FREEEEAK! Actually I'm not that into the Heavy FREAK thing, but I like the Barbarian and Hercules M3 trend. Gimme a "Classic Mike - Dan Farr Special Holiday Release M3" and I will be a TOTALLY happy M3 Camper. DAZ Chain Gun is another wonderful trend also.

Turtle - Looking through the galleries, both here and elsewhere, I tend to find that male figures are (in the main) reduced to either secondary status, or one-off "hunk" sorta images, which are still pretty few and far between.
I've used quite a few male figures of late, but mostly in the Humor gallery...and I stil think you can get more character out of M2 than you can M3 despite all the extra dials.

Veritas777 - It's just the face (in my opinion, which counts for very little in the scheme of things) that lets M3 down in the "macho" stakes. I've seen so many muscly hunk type pics using M3, but no matter how toned his body is, they still look sorta "elven" and (at best) asexual facially.
Maybe I just need to give him a little time to get worked on, but as a fully-formed new character, from a majorly respected vendor, I'm still disappointed that he's not more masculine in appearance

...but I still hate those deformed upper arms. ~lol~

Hrmph. The link is to an image of a pre-SR1 M3. He is definitely not an elf. I may redo the image with the updated M3 and a new window sometime.

I do like M3, but I admit that there's something around the eye area that is a bit feminine looking.

Well I dunno.... I don't think this guy is feminine. At least I'd rather not think so LOL

sure the highly deformed alienesque looking M3 characters can somewhat hide his inherent girlishness. but all of the average adult humanoid images ive seen posted look very fem to me and others as well apparently :-)

ernyoka1 - I'll tell you what...lose the side whiskers, put long white hair and a dress on that dude, and then see if he doesn't pass as an old woman. ~lol~
