Where is the command bar for the interface in Bryce 5? How do I get objects presets into Bryce? How do I use an image to create a lattice/terrain? How do I apply a light gel? How do I position objects accurately? How do I boolean an object? What are color 'families'? Do I need to ungroup a model to texture different parts of it? How do I change the default scene to something else? What is an 'origin handle'? Where do I find it?

How come my imported models looks crap! How can I smooth them and get rid of all those ugly ridges? How do I select objects placed behind other ones without dragging them all over ther place? What's with the naked poser folks and their awful solid hair and how do I fix it?

For the Key sheets they need to be made as a download for all of us... What is the DTE? TreeLab? What is Tileing? Object Cubic....What? How do I make my Animations Play faster? How can I grab the Sun and Position it where I want? And I have a hundred more....

Why can`t I open other programs from the taskbar when Bryce is running.

I'll try to form this into a question. I REALLY wish I'd known this a year ago when I started! Q: How do I shrink the size of my library for disk management purposes? A: [AS, there was a thread a while back on this, but it goes something like this...] When you delete an item from your library, the item remains, taking up space, and only the thumbnail actually goes. Do a backup of your library for safety. Then, select all of the items in the library that you want to keep. Export them with a new library name. What is a good method to creating an immense mountain terrain in the terrain editor? The preview window is almost useless for me to see any detail changes when using the various filters. Is there a trick to getting it scaled right for a distant look in the final render? I think it could also be applicable to objects such as ships and buildings where size does matter.

If my model from another program is too big, how can I import it in Bryce? Bryce reports "i/o error" with my LWO model. What is solo selection? How do I make my trunk/leaves transparent? I've got a lot of yellow glass in the pic, why is it rendering so slowly?

Note-to all the Newbies, first-timers, etc., who are peekin' from behind the furniture..all of us, even the really talented ones, asked these questions at one time or another. File names for textures should not exceed 32 characters and/or 4000 x 4000 in size or Bryce will crash.

Why is is the price for Bryce so low all of a sudden ??? ;) Can I make a spaceship fly to a planet? Can Bryce do 3D other than landscapes? How to I get Booleans Objects to work? (Seriously, I've seen these in a few other forums.) Have fun.

Is there a way to disable shadows for all objects in a scene with out having to select each item and disabling the "Cast shadows" through the material editor? Please if somebody knows this....please tell me..... :)

Q.What happens when you lose an object or model out of view in your scene. A.(I figured this out myself because of it happening so much) While the object or model is active click "create" then add it to your prese shapes.Then delete it,from scene and get it back again from the create thingy. Oh, yeah, shadows. Ways to achieve soft shadows. There are three that I know. The one on the Sun&Moon is supposed to create shadows like on a cloudy day, but the one on the lights and the one on the Premium render are supposed to create shadows with blurred edges. Pedrith, are you serious? The smiley makes me wonder. Anyway, uncheck the Sun/Moon shadows on the Sun&Moon tab in the Sky editor. It's kinda master switch for shadows.
