Here's another model I'm working on. I think I like the texture on this one - and don't mind the female. I just added her in for reference. I can't decide if I like the glyps down near the bottom on the base though...Anyone else feel they should stay/go ?

I think you should keep them, but make them the same colour as the darkest diagonal stripe on the water pump, they seem to pristine the way they are. Good job by the way :o) MaRv

They look as if they might be displays of some sort. Might be interesting, if they are, to "light" them up with some color. Otherwise, it looks pretty interesting!

Yes it looks great.

Just a suggestion, but could you add something in the top of the dome to which soemone could attach a tentacle or something from which to suspend the character in the liquid. What I did in the cryotube I am using now is to place a metallic tentacle from the top of the tube going into the back of the characters head, like in The Matrix. It looks a bit more as though the cryotube is actually doing something if you can connect it to the figure in some way, instead of having the figure just floating in a tank of liquid. Also, I like putting a light either above or below the model in a cryotube, but it looks a bit odd if there is a light shining from nowhere, so some type of thing that looks like a light either above or below the character adds some nice possibilities. The tube looks great and if I can get hold of it I might just replace the tube I am using now. (PS. This doesn't bug me, but how do you get the character into your tank. Maybe a hatch on the top will add a bit of realism.)

numanoid: I love the tentacle idea. I just might do that. As for the light - maybe. I'm not sure where I would place that, but I'll toy around with the idea. And as for how they get in there.....That's always bothered me, too. When you suggested the hatch, though - an idea poped into my head. I'll post what I come up with here.

I'm posting a concept of the new cryotube in the forum. I want more feedback - and since this post is a few pages down, I'll just post the link to the new one here.

There is so much horror and stuff in the thought of a Cryogenics Tube or a Stasis Chamber. Please consider the idea of a healing chamber. If you remember in the Empire Strikes Back...Skywalker was in a tank after he was rescued from the Wampa snow monster...The tank itself contained a cleaver futuristic idea that not many people actually know...Starship Troopers took on the same idea as well...The fluid in Star Wars was called Bacta...This is taken from the word and healing compound called Bacitracin...We use this stuff every day in our modern world. Consider the fact about what Numanoid did say...It does need an entry to the tank itself and it also needs an oxygen connection to the patient to survive the process...If you turned this device from a tool of torture into a well needed futuristic medical tool for Poser just think of how many Stormguards and Sanctum Art Troopers you could save from digital death....hey think about the sexy Sci-Fi nurses that would be tending to these patients....Just an idea...I hope you can consider the thought...

Binx: There's not much keeping it from being a healing tank. That tentacle is going to go into the back of the head - a lot like in The Matrix. It's really not ment to be a torture device. Here's an updated post with a new concept on it. http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=1489197 Other than that, I really see no reason why you can't just call the liquid "Bacta" and have it be a healing tube. Sure, it wont have the face mask, but that doesn't mean you can't have nanobots be transfered through the tube into the back of the skull so that they can do the healing. I might add an oxygen mask. Not sure though - Seems a little hard, and I don't want to get caught up on one project. Thanks for the feedback though :) - I appreciate it.

Surely you could say it is whatever you want. If you want it to be a cryo tube then it is a cryo tube. If you want it to be a healing chamber then just use it that way. It could also be used as some kind of cloning device.
