Does anyone know what part of the computer is responsible for faster (or slower) render time (i.e. the processor, the ram, the graphics card)? I am buying a new computer and want to know what part i need to beef up, to get faster renders in poser and bryce thanx ka

Hi KA, I'd go for as much CPU and RAM as you could. The RAM will serve you well when you are trying to work in the program and work with larger files, and the CPU will give you your render speed. The graphics card can also make your refresh rate more pleasing, and allow you say heavier use of views besides mesh, but it is the CPU that will give you your power. m.
