Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 27 5:49 pm)
Zygote used to, and I assume still do, offer a money back satisfaction guarantee so purchasing one of their models is pretty low risk. You can also just tour a few of the Poser galleries to see how well the models work for others. Unless the artist has used post processing/customization it's pretty much what you see is what you get. Of course, Zygote also gives away a free model each week although these are not typically the more complex ones. Zygote's a pretty good outfit and go to great lengths to make sure their customers are happy with their purchases.
Unfortunately, there's no way Zygote could control that. Once a person downloads a 3D object, they can save it to a disk and keep it forever without paying for it. I don't think there's a way they could render it unusable after a certain time limit, like demo software can. The people at Zygote are fantastic. They'll bend over backward to satisfy their customers. If you don't like something you bought, they'll probably go the extra mile to reimburse you. Melanie
Wynter, I agree. When I bought the texture maps for Vickie, the download failed on me and they fixed it right up. They sent me a personal link and password, which didn't work right away, and they again straightened it right out. They do listen to their customers, something that very few companies do these days. Revisor5, the models Zygote creates are the best. You would be satisfied with them. I've bought lots of their stuff and I'll continue to buy from them. Melanie
Ok here's my deal. THEY'RE GREAT!! I've probably spent over 600 dollars on they're models and some of them i just bought in case I ever need them. I like to jump on their sales even if I'm not sure I'll use a model. Because when you think about it they're a lot less expensive than other models of the same quality. Also their models aren't just limited to poser. That alone makes them worth a lot more than they sell for! I use them in 3d max at home and in Maya at school. Anyway, that's my 2 cents.
