Well, I tried to incorporate most of the feedback I received on the first try.

--played with the eyes a fair bit, decreasing the ambience and reflection
--changed the eyelids somewhat (now that the render is finished, it probably could have been a bit more)
--longer lashes (still not long enough on the male) but still not thick enough
--added a few "imperfections" to the woman's skin
--changed the lighting hue (had a bit of a blue hue to it before; made it more neutral)

Again, any feedback will be welcome. (And, Amethyss, I will post this in the Poser forum too :)).

Thanks everyone!

Aye, I think these are nearly perfect! I don't know how to thicken the lashes, short of modeling new ones, but other than that great work... Very FF-esque, and your lighting is wonderful.

The skin looks really good but I think it could do with a bit more moisture. What would be the best way to achieve that? The eyes look much better and I like the little imperfections you've added to her skin. As for the eyelashes, I've been thinking about this one. My plan is to take the lashes into PhotoShop and thicken them up by hand, I'll do that later today and see how it works. Maybe you could give it a try too mloates and see what happens. 8) Catlin

WOW great! the womans skin looks ooo much more real! I agree with the little more on her eyelids tho, hi slooks pretty good. do I detect a hint of blue veins showing through the skin? wow, soooo real...grins ummmm only other thing i can se to think of, and not sure if it's fixable or not...but the ears look too perfect..almost perfectly rounded...can you kinda warp them a lil so they kinda look like they've been ona body for that many years? (lol cant think of how to describe it) Great job!

I think maybe the thing with the ears is that, well in my case, my ears are always paler than the rest of my face. Even when the rest of me takes a tan my ears are still paler. Perhaps if you tried that mloates they would look more realistic for Jen. 8) Catlin

BTW, Jen, are your eyebrows anything like Vicky's? Mine certainly aren't and the only person I know with eyebrows like that is a friend who draws them in. lol 8) Catlin

LOL thanks Catlin

shadowdragonlord ( ) posted Fri, 24 October 2003 at 8:14 PM

I personally enjoy thicker eyebrows than Vicky's, but still the biggest discrepancy (towards realism, in my eyes) is the eyeLASHes... I know they are just a transparency map, perhaps duplicate the objects once in Bryce, and offset three or four duplicates only SLIGHTLY on the y-axis, to add thickness and depth? Just an idea...

lol Catlin, my eye brows are only like that in my dreams! Even after plucking, they still end up lop sided some way even tho hubby tells me they look fine..LOL I've resorted to only pulling stray ones and mild mild shaping..LMAOOO
