I'm trying to tile a material onto a surface. I don't seem to get the scale and proportion right. Flat, Cylindrical, Standard, What does all that really do? Any advanced tutorials on this? Thanks

I sure hope so, 'cuz all I've been stuck doing is the old trial and error method anytime I've needed to do this! I know this is of no help to you, satfj...just thought I'd let ya know you weren't alone here '-)! ==steve

Yeah... I've imported extruded surfaces from 3DStudio and never can get the material to align to any scale. There must be a trick to it.

Have you tried to set it to object standard instead of world standard in the materials editor....that sometimes does the trick for me. -Pixpax

Vue is inferior thats why its tiling and bump maps don't work correctly.
