Subject: Poser 4.01 import problem into Vue 4.2

Diandra ( ) posted Mon, 27 October 2003 at 4:49 AM · edited Sun, 03 November 2024 at 5:12 AM

Could someone please help me? I can't seem to get Daz' M3 imported into Vue 4.2. I save the poser file, close poser, open Vue and try to import. I get the dialogue box about group the objects, click OK and then nothing happens. Has anyone else experienced this? tia for any help/advice Di

...that this has been happening since I installed the update to 4.2

Not sure... Did you also install Mover update?

I'm sure E-On changed the display routines in the 4.2 update. Could be that your graphics card is struggling to display the complex Michael figure. Turn off OpenGl to speed up object display in the 3D views and see if Michael "appears".

Cheers,
Mark

How do you turn off OpenGl? I didn't install the Mover update - am I supposed to? Sorry for the "ignorant" questions!! It isn't just Michael 3, it is any figure. And it isn't even showing in the display panel on the left, so I don't think it did import?? Thanks Di

Di, you can turn off Open GL in the preferences window. Had a similiar prob with Vickie 3 after upgrading to 4.2. Turning off open GL fixed this display issue. Although I have to admit I'm on a mac. But you should give it ry. Hope this helps, Phil

Restart Vue. It won't be as pretty but it will be faster and now, I hope, you **will** be able to import M3 figures.

Cheers,
Mark
