PS: too much gore with for gores sake may be a little extreme for some so keep the blood letting to a even flow. We dont want people to run to the bathroom with these. ;)

Aww darn, I was gonna post some really decent shredded corpse photos. Ah well. :)

Pete the Zombie sez: "I paid five bucks and there wasn't a single zombie in the darned thing, what a ripoff! And no brains for my popcorn! I want a refund."

Hi all here's the link to mine.Thought I would have a bash with Bryce.

Pyrographer ( ) posted Fri, 10 October 2003 at 3:43 AM

Awesome Stotty, I like that one a whole lot!

Seadreamer ( ) posted Sat, 11 October 2003 at 4:06 PM

Is the challenge open to Bryce-only or 3D-only images? Thanks!

dialyn ( ) posted Sat, 11 October 2003 at 5:44 PM

The challenge is open to anyone. 2d, 3d, photographs, fractals...that's what makes it so interesting.

RimRunner ( ) posted Sun, 12 October 2003 at 1:01 AM

Yup seadreamer, as dialyn said.. the forum is open for almost any type of challenge... line art, pen/paper, 2d, 3d, 4d, body paint (snicker), whatever.. as long as it doesn't brake the TOS.. and fits with the challenges.

OK, let me see if I can get it right this time... *sighs* Sorry, posting problems. >_< Here is my VERY humble image, not for competition but simply for participation. He's a harmless fellow... I found him under the bed. ^_^ Oh, and there is a full-sized version in the gallery, but I didn't want to take up that much space here. Thanks!!

Pyrographer ( ) posted Sun, 12 October 2003 at 2:27 AM

Hmm, that fractel makes me think of Pink Floyd's The Wall for some reason. You know the scene I'm talking about?

Seadreamer ( ) posted Sun, 12 October 2003 at 3:33 AM

LOL!!! Actually I do! I had the album... yes, I'm that old. ^_~ It had something very similar to that in the artwork. I hadn't thought of it until you mentioned it. How funny!

Pyrographer ( ) posted Mon, 13 October 2003 at 3:53 AM

It's the judge, from the trial... That's what it reminds me of. (Don't have to be all that old to remember The Wall). :)

Final day to post your entries. If I don't hear a scream for a day or two more by mid-night, then we're on for voting. Good luck !!

Oh, tresamie. Your entries are always worth waiting for. :)

Pyrographer ( ) posted Mon, 27 October 2003 at 12:33 AM

Nice one... Dark on dark, really catches the spooky feeling.

I know it is late so if you have voted already dont feel as if you have to recast for my sake. Sorry for being so late.

dialyn ( ) posted Mon, 27 October 2003 at 9:11 AM

We haven't started voting yet so you are in time. I'm glad to see such spooky entries haunt this thread. :)

RimRunner ( ) posted Mon, 27 October 2003 at 7:27 PM

:) Yup, those last minute entries count as well :) And some really great entries as always...

What happened to stotty's entry? It's not in the challenger gallery anymore...did my skeleton scare it away???? :(

Hi dialyn and all, Seems that Rosity's new cleaning regime has moved my image out of the whats new gallery (thanks for noticing dialyn :)).Hopefully this new link will work .

tresamie ( ) posted Tue, 28 October 2003 at 1:36 AM

When do we vote?

Fractals will always amaze me!

RimRunner ( ) posted Tue, 28 October 2003 at 9:53 AM

Voting can begin at anytime .. we seem to have gotten in the last couple last-minute entries... so Vote away. Hadn't voted myself yet due to this weekends "excitement" near my home, friends homes, families homes, etc. Lets just say, if you don't live in LA or San Diego.. feel happy!

dialyn ( ) posted Tue, 28 October 2003 at 10:16 AM

You said you were adding a small twist in the October challenge. Are we still using the same voting format: Pick your 1st, 2nd and 3rd favorites 1st = 3 points 2nd = 2 points 3rd = 1 point. Highest total points = Winner

RimRunner ( ) posted Tue, 28 October 2003 at 10:30 AM

Yes, the voting still follows that. I'll have to go back through and re-read everything and get some project plans on my system to start to follow some of the plans for the forum. ;) There may be a lot more activity in here soon... we'll see if it flys.

Some really nice images to choose from again! I love all the different types. Here is my list: 3 points - Knot4u 2 points - dialyn 1 point - stotty They were all great! I guess I just prefer the somewhat cuter aspects of spooky! Tres

Fractals will always amaze me!

Knot4u ( ) posted Tue, 28 October 2003 at 12:57 PM

wow...is it safe to come vote.. was scared last time I was here. :) First to all let me say .. fantastic jobs. 3 points - dialyn 2 points - tres 1 point - stotty I only wish I had more points to give to others.

dialyn ( ) posted Tue, 28 October 2003 at 1:03 PM

I'm reposting to make it easier for RimRunner. I understand you had other things on your mind. My vote... 3 points - stotty 2 points - tresamie 1 point - Pyrographer Very hard to choose. I really liked Knot4u and seadreamer's graphics too. Halloween is one of my favorite non-holidays and you all did a great job of capturing the tricks and treats of the season. :) And I agree with Knot4u, I wish I had extra points to give out too.

Pyrographer ( ) posted Tue, 28 October 2003 at 3:28 PM

3 points - stotty 2 points tresamie 1 point seadreamer (for making me remember The Wall so fondly). :)

RimRunner ( ) posted Sat, 01 November 2003 at 10:16 AM

Well, well.. the end of another month already. Great entries one and all. :) I've held back my own vote, just so that in case of a tie, I'd be able to break it. Seems this backfired on me, as the two in the lead are so unique and both so good, it's a really hard choice. here is the break down as of now: Stotty: 8 points Tres : 8 points Dialyn: 5 points Knot4u: 4 points Pryo : 4 points SeaDreamer: 1 point So.. the question to Stotty & Tres is.. should I vote and break the tie, or do you two want to join forces and issue a combined challenge? I await your answers (for a short time, got to keep things moving. ;)

The doctor says I have way too much blood in my caffeine system.

dialyn ( ) posted Sat, 01 November 2003 at 10:34 AM

Congratulations Stotty and Tres!!! Excellent graphics to choose from. I wouldn't have to be tie breaker on this one. And I'm pretty proud of myself too...that's the best I've done on a challenge. I'll just be all full of myself now. :) Looking forward to the next challenge. These are a lot of fun and I love seeing the results.

stotty ( ) posted Sun, 02 November 2003 at 2:17 PM

Thanks all for the votes and the challenge fun, looking forward to the next one :). I think Tres and I are joining forces to decide a theme. So we'll get back to you all soon .

tresamie ( ) posted Mon, 03 November 2003 at 10:06 AM

Thanks everyone:) This was a fun challenge, and all the entries were wonderful! Stotty and I put our heads together and have come up with an idea. We have sent it to RimRunner for approval, and will announce it in a new thread as soon as we get the ok. Tres

Fractals will always amaze me!

Pyrographer ( ) posted Tue, 04 November 2003 at 4:34 AM

Hmm, odd, the system never emailed me about the new responses so I didn't bother to check. Anyway congratulations to the winners this month, as always, a lot of talent in here and fun to participate too. Friendly place, good people! Mike

Knot4u ( ) posted Tue, 04 November 2003 at 11:06 PM
