Subject: Is any one using Body Studio for MAX?

I've been toying with the Idea of Upgrading my old version of MAX and getting Body Studio. Is any body using it for animation in MAX? How good is the import of Poser animations into MAX? How much of the imported Poser scene can be modified in MAX? Should I be lookin at Konan's Maximum Pose instead? How does the render speed of the scene in MAX compare with the render speed in Poser 5? I've been to Reiss Studios web site many times but have seen very few examples. The gallery their has pictures that were made long before Body Studio existed. If you don't want post your views could you IM them to me I would really appreciate any imput anyone may have. Thanks

I want to know how much is lost in the transition. I'm on P5, but have used the P4 plugin from CL. Each and every time i had to tweak the trans and falloff. I did find a script to do this for me. I want to set up an animation in Poser5 to render in Max. LIGHTS? CAMERAS? WALK PATHS? SHADER NODES? For the price of the plugin, I shouldn't have to tweak anything, right?

I have tested the Reiss Body Studio plugin and overall I am very impressed. Impressed enough to buy it. I am just having a few problems with getting the software to accept the updated licence file but with help from Reiss I hope that this will soon be resolved.

I would suggest that if you are seriously considering this plugin that you contact Reiss and ask for a two week testing period.

I have found that in most cases I do not have any problems with importing textures. The only exception is procedural textures.

The current UK issue of 3D Woeld magazine has a review of the Reiss plugin where they also score it highly.

I am still very new to using the plugin but my suggestion would be that it would be more powerful to use the many lighting and camera options available in Max, so just import the animation and do the rest in Max.
