This is going to be really silly to you people already doing advanced stuff with Flash. But I just finished my first flash project. It uses buttons, sound, and events so being a newbie this was a hard thing for me to make. Now if I could only grasp the scripting stuff. oooyyyyy. Does everything need to be so cryptic? ScottA

Not bad. Couple of things though, you may want to add a preload when you have a file that large and don't forget to fill-in the "hit" area (that odd 4th frame, just create a square large enough to cover your text) of your buttons when using text. I've been doing flash for years so if you have any questions drop me an email. I specialize in interactivity via actionscripting.

Can you explain that again? I don't know what you mean by "that odd 4th frame" Also. I understand how to make flash movies and all. But how do you use them to make an entire web site? You know..... With hyper links and such. So you can click on links inside a flash movie so you can go to other web pages. There isn't any option for that that I can find. Thanks. ScottA

Hey ScottA, The fourth frame of the inside of a button is the "Hit" area. What this means is that it provides the backing to a button, so if you have some odd shape or are using text (which has holes, like the letter O) it provides a means for making the whole button active. In terms of creating hyperlinks, it is done through buttons and the Get URL action. Email me with questions and I'll give you a longer reply...gwood67@yahoo.com
