Is something wrong with the counters? While I'd love to think I had that many new views today, I can't quite believe that I've had over 1400 new views. For some reason, it doesn't seem to have affected my second gallery...just my main account one.

There has been some code optimizing going on here and there, and the victim always seems to be counters going nuts for a while. They should snap back soon. AgentSmith

Sure is gonna make it easier for us to seed our random number generators. I assume that even if this is fixed, screwed up hit counts will remain?

yes this is what i want to know, but i have another gallery, under Rubbermelon, and the counter there dont seem to be screwed up!!! does anyone else have a second gallery and only found this is on only one???

DarkStar-Yeppers...my 2nd gallery apparently remained untouched, but in my first, it was only the last three images, and then like the 6th one, that were affected by the crazy counter. LOL...I think I'm at well over 10,000 new views since about 6pm yesterday!

And they are still going.....is there any way you guys could hurry up the changes and get the counters back to normal quickly? Anyone have any ideas on why some people received a surfeit of 'imaginary' hits, while 2nd galleries didn't get any, and other people only saw a relative few? I have a pet theory...lol, it's a joke....those who spend more time on R'osity were the ones who got the lion's share of the imaginary hits. Whaddya think? :)

It's a ... Trick or Treat goodie. Yeah, yeah, that's the ticket. Some get the treat of lots of hits, others get the trick of a normal count. ;-) We've already asked the programmers to go take a sledge hammer to the code. Hopefully it'll get fixed soon. Since I don't know what caused the problem, I can't say why it's sporadic. Thanks! Cres

Is it fixed yet, wnet in to gallery and there where peeps who have 0 hits but yet 2 or 3 comments, five mins later the viewings are back, but very little, yeah i love the idea of having loads of viewing on gallery work, but are the viewing rates going to be taken of to what they should be or are they going to be left as is? what ever happened, i found it funny to start of with, now its taking the pee!!!!

Hmm so they have no way of getting the real view count back for everyone ? No magic code to fix everything ? lol ... Wow i think that would sux !

1500 views, and only two rankings, people are SO apathetic (cue dramatic sigh). ~LOL~

Problem is not fixed.All most viewed galleries are now completly trash!It is not fair to people whose images were really viewed by many people.

I agree with Wojteg. I can't even imagine any single image getting 1500 votes in one day. If you look at the smaller galleries, their 'Most Viewed' section is completely filled with images with the same date on them...from the other day when everything was so messed up. Perhaps you should consider resetting all the images from that day(s) to -0- ? Tres

I don't think it's fixed yet, either...I have 3 images with over 1500 views after the reset, and I have one image with 927 views...now I know that sucker only had like 200something before the counters went nuts. And the graphic I uploaded yesterday has already had over 200 views...occasionally possible in my gallery, but not the norm for my stuff, lol. Not only that, but my 2nd gallery, which wasn't affected the first day of the wild counters, was affected yesterday....I have the occasional photo that gets a few views over 100, but only one of these had that before getting wild counter disease, and now I have 5 with over 100 views, and the one that had over 100 already has over 500 now. On one hand, I guess it's not very important in the large scheme of things, but apparently we all like knowing how many people are looking at each of our images, so this is really sort of a pain in the ass. But, c'est la vie, right?
