in the poser galleries? My image jumped from 200 veiws in 5 minutes to 2900 veiws? Whats going on around here??? No kitty!!!! thats my pot pie!!

Apparently it's only wrong on the last 2 uploaded images...I'm assuming it's wrong, I can't believe I've had almost 1,000 views in 24 hrs on one image!!! LOL

Yeah, I've had over 9000 views in 8 hours (!) on my new image which is kind of unlikely..... All views since then are too high, on all my images. But the older accumulated views are still correct, so it's only the new added views on all images that are wrong. For instance, my fist image (oldest one) had about 1480 viewings until then, now it has 2066. I hope this can be fixed. :] Fish

LOL! I just discovered that my most recent image is on the FIRST page of R'ositys Most Viewed images - after 8 hours. Kind of unlikely, but cool :o) Let's see how high it climbs before they fix this..... :] Fish

LOL I've been noticing the same thing today. Earlier in the day the counter was up to something like 200 or so. I thought it was pretty quick, but I just attributed it to the fact that I had a scantily clad female in my image. But then later that day it topped 1000, then finally 2000 and I started thinking "heeeeey, something's not right here." Sure enough you guys are experiencing wackiness too. Kind of neat in a weird sorta way. :)

There has to be, I'm glad some one else noticed it as well. I have 2500+ on my latest work in less than 12 hours. For me, that's odd. This is going to screw things up on the "most viewed" list, like Fish stated. Oh well, just another thing to add to the list that Renderosity needs to fix.

Yes, indeed. It's a very odd problem. I was just checking the gallery since yesterday morning and some images have like 9000 hits. One of my even managed almost 4,000! Too bad it's an error! :P I barely have images that break a 1000 and most are around 500. Congrats, FishNose. ;) Just now it was almost 17,000.

I dont care thats its an error, I'll take it;-) I was born in error.....

LoL!! I am so glad this wasn't just me. Saves me from getting that 'swelled head' syndrome from getting almost 3000 hits on my latest image where there most I ever average is somewhere between 60 - 300. Not TOO bad of a server hiccup, though. :X

hahahah lol, I also notice this this morning. I knew it was a error, but in my wildest dreams I was hopeing I had suddenly became popular.

yeah, like i just loged on to find my images have loads of viewings, i thought it must be an error, as just looking though the gallery, and there are viewings from 100 to 17000 whats going on, i thought there would be no-way of that many viewing unless its a really damned good image thats been up for like 2 or three years, not bursting my bubble, but for a 0.001 second i thought "way hay" then relised oooohhh error on here me thinks, lol

Another odd thing was when I uploaded my newest render this morning I had 1 comment from Avalonne and my view counter was still at 0. I'm just guessing, but I think the viewing are being multipled by six or something. That means FishNose still got 3750 in 15 hours. Hmm, lol. It's very strange!

OK. I feel much better, in a disappointed kind of way. I thought I had done something spectacular for a change but either the submission was screwed up, or I really did forget to enable comments. It was driving me nuts! What did I do right?!?! Well now I know. ^"^

Yeah, we have a WTF? in the back room on the view counter. Tommy is looking into it right now. Enjoy it while you can. ;-)

I think it's a "solar storm" thang... from 0 view to 10000 views at the speed of light... Grumbles.... now back to my humble nonexistence....

Daio, I've been having the same problem for the past week or so. FWIW, I can upload to the gallery if I use Netscape instead of Internet Explorer. I have no idea why it makes a difference, but I've tried several times, and it does. I get a smooth upload with Netscape, an error message with IE.

Related errors: Most of the images in the front pages of the Galleries (the newest images) havs 0 views. Are all of them so bad that no-one is viewing them? Take a look at the "What's Hot"/ Top 100 images. There are a number of images from October 30, 2003 that have already made it to the to 25. That's some seriously good artwork if it can get more hits in 24 hours than other artwork that's been up for 2 or 3 years!

I got real close to the Top 5 in Most Viewed images ever - I got up to 29704 viewings, just 100 short of the fifth spot... oh well. It was fun while it lasted :o) Now the counters have all been reset - all view counters for yesterday and today that were over 1500 (that's most of them) have been chopped to 1500 and are starting to accumulate views from there. So nearly everyone has the same number. I hope this doesn't mean that it's impossible to work out the correct figures - that would be really sad. All views of ALL images that have occurred in the last 20 hours are crazy. Even old images. Which means that the entire gallery system is corrupted as statistics go. Not good :o( :] Fish

Not good indeed. I was pondering on things I've witnessed in the past with similar circumstances and how they fixed it. On message boards mostly and not here. The most reliable way was to virginize everything. I don't think the R'osity folks would do that. I can't image the backlash.

Daio, I get that exact same server error message just trying to look at a message in the forum threads... not even uploading anything. I'm on DSL... there should be no reason for pages to time out when loading! Carolly
