Subject: DAZ Brokered Sale Items END SALE EARLY??

timoteo1 ( ) posted Mon, 03 November 2003 at 8:25 PM ยท edited Fri, 01 November 2024 at 3:58 AM

There were a number of brokered items that had an introductory sale that are no longer on sale. They said the sale was good until 11/03/03 23:59:49. At 5pm EST the sales ended, anyone know why? Anyone from DAZ reading? Thanks, Tim

For example: Barbarian for M3 and barbarian Upgrade, Barbarian Hair, Warrior, Animal Instincts, etc.

I already nailed those! Just made it under the wire!

Bully for you, but that doesn't answer my question, now does it? ;) DAZ will probably help me out on this one, but I'm just curious if this was an "ooops" or that the time stamp is meaningless and they really mean "sometime during the day." -Tim

Their system has been doing things like that a lot lately. My original PC club subscription was set to expire as of midnight on the set day. It even said as much when I checked my account information online. However, when I tried to make some purchases under the wire (around 6pm CST), the subscription had already expired. I wrote to Daz about it and they VERY GRACIOUSLY reinstated my PC sub (temporarily of course) and gave me a whole extra 7 days to make the purchases. Annoying - YES, but Daz MORE THAN made up for it (even though I sent them a not-so-nice email about the issue). So, long story short (too late) I feel your pain, and I as sure they will make it up to you.

I would contact them ASAP! They have been very helpful in the past if you give them a good reason why you missed it- ---like your dog ate your credit card, or something.

Yeah, that's why I said: "DAZ will probably help me out on this one" ... because they always do. After over 100-some orders, I know them fairly well. Well enough to know they're probably one of the most respectable companies in this industry, bar none. -Tim

From what I understad it is a problem with the server clock being on one time and DAZ being on another and someone needing to smack the server people around some ;) Wish I could help more but I do think if you make the purchases up and e-mail DAZ at the same time they will fix it all right away ...
