Subject: M3 Woes

Hello my fellow artists!

I am suffering from M3 woes. Specifically I don't have any really good textures, hair, or clothing for him. Is there a good set of clothes available somewhere for a reasonable price that I've missed? What about textures? I don't want to pay an arm and a leg as I don't use Michael very often. Nor do I want him dressed as a barbarian or a woodland nymph.

What are you guys using? Any suggestions on how to spend my money wisely?

Happy rendering,

--Invidia

I haven't used M3 yet, but I did buy the DAZ textures. I also bought some V3M textures from PC to try out, because I believe the mapping on M3 is pretty close to V3. Even if it ain't exact, I have the UTC and Photoshop to help out.

Bang for the buck wise, joining one of the subscription sites might be a good move. For a flat fee, you get access to a bunch of stuff, M3 related or otherwise. Both Poserworld and PoserStyle have some good stuff. IIRC I think Poserworld had more in terms of M3 clothing though, especially what you would consider "normal" clothing. I believe Phil C (philc.net) also has a set of M3 clothes right now for a cheapie price. Also if you're a member of the Platinum club at DAZ, I'll second SamTherapy's recommendation for the V3 male textures. Actually even if you're not a member, the V3 male pack is half off right now (you can get it for 10 bucks) and you can just take the textures from it. But if you're a PC member, you can get the nordic (I think that's what it's called) texture pack for 99 cents. The Platinum club has some good hair available as well, which you can use with Mike 3. Also some of Kozaburo's hair looks alright on M3 (the messy hair works well for example).

And at Poser Pros you can pick up a few really nice textures for M3 in the Pro Club for $2.49 each. Don't have to be a member.

Doh! Can't believe I forgot Poserpros. I just recommended it in another thread for cheap V3 stuff the other day. Must be slipping. But yeah, I agree. Poserpros is another good place to get stuff.
