MarketPlace Showcase F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 21 2:40 am)
Thank you so much for sponsoring this contest. It was a blast! I had so much fun with it. I loved the couples themes you picked as guidelines. It was awesome. This contest is how I will remember Halloween 2003...from the fun challenge and all the great entries. They got me in the Halloween spirit! Tim
Well you did GREAT work! I'm so happy to hear that. It got me in the spirit of Halloween this year too, as I was not before the contest. I even carved a pumpkin and put up lights for the trick or treaters! Send me an e-mail with the models you have selected for your prizes, and I can get the download information to you. :) Please include your mailing address so we can send your 3-axis P5 tutorial, as well! CONGRATS! xo, PAm

**WINNERS! WINNERS! WINNERS! WINNERS! WINNERS! WINNERS! WINNERS! WINNERS! WINNERS**OKAY, THAT WAS ALMOST TOO MUCH FUN! Congratulations to EVERYONE! For those of you who are interested in viewing the winners, the official results for the 1st-4th Place Winners are posted on the contest forum. But please read this entire post if you entered.... There is more!
This being our first official Renderosity contest EVER, we were so plesaed to have had SO MANY GREAT PIECES SUBMITTED! WOWSA! So many in fact, that we had a REAL DILEMMA choosing them. Finally, after going a few rounds, we all cast our ballots and arrived at the posted results. Because the vote tallies were so close, there was not way around having ties for 3rd and 4th place. What I want to share is that some of you who didn't place in these top 4 slots, came closer than you know. (Too many cooks/judges and all that! ; ) I even suggested that we hold up cards like the Olympic judges. LOL. Good thing there weren't 200 entries! But Holy Crap, it was comical.
First of all, we were pleased to have had so many entries on such short notice, and second, we were almost shocked to have such quality work submitted with such a Quickie contest. So you ALL know what this means, don't you? You ALL qualify/are perfect candidates for the commercial art world! Welcome to Hell! :/ (Just kidding, about the Hell part... sort of. :O If you saw my poem.... ; )
NOW (FINALLY) THE GOOD NEWS:
Since this judging was so close and you were all such troopers to whip up these submissions so fast and SO VELL DAHLINKS, Tom and I decided to award EVERYONE who submitted an entry to our Creature Couple Character Contest with a little "TREAT". All you need to do to to claim your prize is contact me via e-mail at pam@iw43d.com, and in the subject line type copy in "What the...? I will get back to you with the details about what you have won.
Next time, I'm having everyone vote! I mean it! ; )
Thanks again to one and all, from Pam, Tom, & the iw43d Judges.
Cheers!
