Cooler's loom is neat, sturdy, and generic enough to see wide use. With a bit of scaling, you can get a room-sized carpet and a half-dozen knot-tiers plying their trade.
Judith also gave us a free loom (Native American style) just for reading about how they decided to make all those pueblo props. I have several images of Two Grey Hills rugs that I want to adapt to fit it.
Cal made a free loom 3(?) years ago. A real beauty. Not as upright as these. It is on the first CD IIRC ($20 bucks gets you dozens and dozens of props). His loom isn't mapped for pattern-taking, but you can quickly change yarn color with a tip of the paint bucket. I used his spinning wheel and 3-legged chair in the same image and they proved the least problematical part of the job!
We still don't have an early Chinese horizontal loom or an extremely primitive upright where the weaver stands and works from the top down... but those are more niche products anyway.
