Subject: multi computer renders

is there a way to use more then one computer to render in carrara 1-3
if not is there a plugin in the works
any chance to write a plugin to use bryce lighting?

i did find out carrara 3 does use hyper threading if your motherboard and chip use it it means it renders like it has 2 cpu's not sure on 1 or 2 yet

C2 brought multi-processor usage to the Mac when using OSX. On the PC side, C1.1 and later was multi-processor aware. As far as a network rendering solution, no, no one has created a plug-in, (that I'm aware of... and I'm looking!) And the program doesn't support it natively. The best workaround is to copy the file, and all supporting files (textures and the like,) to each machine that you'll use. Then use the batch option in the render room to tell each machine to only do X amount of sequential still files. (I use TIFs myself, since they support alpha channels, and they are cross-platform.) Then re-assemble the stills into an animation in a video editing program. Not the most elegant, but workable.

u could buy duel zeon board with hyper theading would give u 4 chips to play with when rendering they cost a lot
