Subject: Question about editing gallery pictures

Orio ( ) posted Mon, 10 November 2003 at 8:02 PM · edited Fri, 10 January 2025 at 2:17 PM

If I edit (replace) the thumbnail of one of my gallery pictures, leaving the main image as it was, will I lose the comments that have been made about the image? Or will they stay there? Thanks Orio

Hiya Orio! You can edit the thumbnail, the full image, or the image description without affecting the comments or view-count or anything else. That is, assuming things are working as normal. :)

Thanks Varian! Going to try that immediately :-) p.s. wish you could show up more on the Vue list! cheers Orio

Hi Orio, One thing to keep in mind - when you click the edit button under your gallery image thumbnail, it will take you to a page that looks like the original upload page. The boxes for the image and the image thumbnail will "appear" blank. Do not panic - they are still there, you do not need to re-upload your image or thumbnail, unless you made changes and wish to upload them :) ladynimue
