What a beauty ! My wife and I took in a feral kitten about 7 months ago ("kitten" my butt, he's about 9 months old now and weighs in at about 11 pounds),.......we opened the front door one day and he just waltzed right in and never looked back. His name is Rustopher T., we call him "Rusty" for short("T" stands for trouble). We had a cat for over 18 years who died of old age last Christmas (there's an image of him in my gallery, it's called "Inkidoo(Inky)" Tell Penny she's a very attractive feline.

What an extraordinary picture! She looks really lovable. Our cat (oh, don't let the phrase trick you.. we are HER humans..) adopted us 5 years ago, - we've said "she" ever since, but she is actually a neutered HE that somebody left. But we still call her SHE; she's the dragqueen of the neighbourhood. *l*My wife has a cat rescued by my son. Brings home mice, shrews, birds and miows like mad till we notice. Not that you could miss a dam great crow screaming its head off in the cat's mouth. It's totally black and loves to be cradled like a baby and having its chest scratched....only cat I know that likes this.... Great photo btw!

She's a beauty Ornlu, but she probably knows that already. I found a little kitten in Feb or she found me and she is so adorable, but I think that 'cos she doesn't wake me in the morning for food she wakes my partner, and that suits me fine. lol 8) Muffin her name is and she too likes to be held like a baby and have her chest rubbed, and she black as well. Maybe it's a thing with black female cats, this chest rubbing thing, 'cos I've never known another cat to enjoy such a thing. 8) Catlin
I lost my cat Willie this time last year and thought I could never replace him but then Muffin appeared out of the blue and has made the world right again. I feel for you Sharleen and I know many here have had this same loss in their lives but hold on to your memories and when the time is right a new love will fill your life again. 8) Catlin
Three more just got me. That brings my total up to nine. Slightly off topic but they just posted a picture from a bank robbery on the nightly news. Isn't it amazing that a bank spends thousands on security. You can't even tell if the robber has eyes or a nose from their photograph. Ornlu can pick up a cheap digital camera and turn out something that looks like it should be in popular photography.
Interesting story about penny. When we picked her up at the cat shelter they had dubbed her Pennsylvania #5. Of course we were curious about how she got her name; so, we asked. And the shelter owner told us that she had come up on a moving truck from pennsylvania along with four brothers. Apparently the cat had snuck into the back of a moving van and given birth to a litter of kittens, I don't know if she abandoned them, but sure enough, the movers found the kittens and brought them to the shelter. So, we kept the name penny, it seems to suit her well anyway, parts of her fur are very coppery colored.
So Penny is laying there when along comes Ornlu and sticks a camera in her face....What's the caption here? "Haven't you got enough Bryce textures already?" "No, I'm not gonna be your Posercat...!"
