There are easy to follow tutorials at Steve Cox's site (where you downloaded the UV Mapper program) that will show you haw to use the program. Basically, you open the program, click on open in the file menu, navigate to the directory where the obj file you want to map resides, and load it into UV Mapper. Once it's in, click on map menu and select a map type. Click on OK in the dialalog box and UV Mapper generates a map for you on-screen. Click on Save in the file menu and save both the map you just generated AND the obj file. Load the new obj file into poser and fit it to the character you want it on and then save it as a prop (click "yes" when you're asked if you want to save as a smart prop). You can now load the map file into your art program and draw your texture on top of the map. The reason for all of the above is that you cannot simply make a texture and drop it onto an obj file. The obj must first be "mapped" so that poser will know how to apply your texture to it (which is why you need to save both the map and the obj file in UV Mapper). UV Mapper is a simple program (far less complex than Poser) and, with the tutorials Steve supplies at his site, very easy to learn how to use.

I downloaded "magic belt" from the Poser Free stuff in hopes of being able to create a wrestling championship belt with it. I dowloaded uv mapper to try an create a texture for it, but I have no idea how to use the program. So I decided I would just make one in PSP 6. When I put it on the belt, it was way too big. But I think I'm on the right track, can anyone help me?
