Subject: Can I buy things now?

Just wondering if the site is better for buyng things since it has been broken for a bit. Hope I didn't miss out on any sales because of it ...

Curious about that myself. I'm thinking, though, that the merchants must have reservations about uploading right now too, or not?

I made a purchase last night (Tuesday the 11th about 10 p.m. or so). I used VISA. It was over 15 mb and I was able to purchase and download without a problem. I have DSL, which helps. I also received the usual receipt confirming the sale. It appears that the store is operating correctly.

ironhart ( ) posted Tue, 11 November 2003 at 8:29 PM

you can test if your ability to purchase is working at ironhart's Store
I just couldn't resist this :)

dialyn ( ) posted Tue, 11 November 2003 at 8:33 PM

That seems like a reasonable way to test the system to me. :)

Dave-So ( ) posted Wed, 12 November 2003 at 8:19 AM

a safe way for testing.. how about someone put a product from my public wish list and I'll see if it downloads :)

Made me look...I don't see that you have any thing on your public wish list. All your wishes fulfilled so quickly? Or is this a new bug in the system?

Dave-So ( ) posted Wed, 12 November 2003 at 9:50 AM

oh..wait..I'll throw something in there LOL

I rather expected you to add at least one ironhart item ... ! The site does seem to be working pretty smoothly. I wish they'd bring back the thing that flags whether or not there are new members on a forum...I didn't realize how much I use that to check in on a forum until it was missing. I'm guessing it's not high on their priority list to return.

dialyn ( ) posted Wed, 12 November 2003 at 10:31 AM

I didn't mean new members...I meant new messages. Proof before post, proof before post, proof before post.

mamba-negra ( ) posted Wed, 12 November 2003 at 7:38 PM

Proofing before you post a board message, now where's the fun in that:P I did buy something last night, though, and it downloaded fine. I haven't noticed the slowness today....last night it was pretty bad...almost gave up on placing the order:( eric

JurgenDoe ( ) posted Wed, 12 November 2003 at 10:24 PM

I was just teasing. Actually I think your products are excellent, and I am collecting the Treasure Chests over time even though I've never made my own texture....they are very fine as is. I'm just glad the Marketplace is working...my shopping cart has gotten a little full and I need to get the check out counter soon. :)
