Subject: Does anyone know where one can buy Poser 4 software anymore?

I had two ladies write me that bought Poser 5 and they said it takes up way too much space and hard to learn. They want to buy Poser 4 software. Can anymore tell me where they can purchase this with the updates? Thanks. BJ http://www.bjshaven.com/

Lots of times you can save money by finding it for sale on eBay, too.

what is thze version repacked in "poser artist" thing ? poser 4 or propack ? or is it modular (base poser4 withj separate SR/patches to 4.03 and propack) ?

I was just wondering that myself. P4 or P4/PP Methinks it's P4 without PP, judging by the price.

Actually... it's P4 without PP. CL have Propack on sale seperately saying it's for Poser Artist and P4. So yep, it's the NON Propack version. Silke

Also a few months back Fry's had a dual-platform combo Poser4/PP pack for sale for much less that buying the 2 separately - not seen it anywhere else though. (FYI, Poser packages in Fry's stores other than Poser 5 seem to be displayed only with Mac software, even though they contain both.) Dunno if Poser Artist is still a dual platform package. Early Poser Artist download was reported, by Penguinisto over at PoserPros, to be 4.00 and required Poser 4 SR3 to be applied (although there was nothing to indicate this to the purchaser).

Poser Artist is very simply Poser 4 with a new box. I'm suprised it would require Poser 4 SR3, since I thought that versions of Poser 4 with the Curious Labs brand already were updated "for packaging."

I can't remember who by, but it was confirmed that the CD was 4.00 rather than 4.03 as well as the download. Ridiculous when my copy, a couple of years (or even three years?) back was 4.03 off the disc.
