THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: November/December Challenge News - Readme

AgentSmith ( ) posted Mon, 17 November 2003 at 11:02 PM · edited Fri, 29 November 2024 at 11:31 PM

Ugh, sorry for my absence for the past couple days, had a bit of a problem with my ISP, it didn't want to let me online at all. All worked out now (new modem installed). Anyway... ------------------- The November and December challenge will be joined into one. The winner of the October Challenge will still pick the next Challenge theme... *(Unless you all would like to do what we kinda did last year - we could have a "Holiday" (Nov/Dec) themed Challenge, with the October winner choosing the theme of the Jan Challenge) Either way, the Nov/Dec Challenge deadline will be December 22nd, and the winner announced on dec 27th. This will give us PLENTY of time to vote, and for that winner to decide on the January Challenge. This way we can all be working on the January Challenge even before the first of the year. Next years Challenges will go basically like this; Work time will be allotted to 25 days (3.5 weeks) Voting time will go for 3 days only. This will give us enough of a monthly buffer each month to not run over on time. -Below leave a vote for having the Nov/Dec Challenge a "holiday" theme, (OR) just run the Challenge as normal. -If "Holiday", then suggest some Holiday Theme names. (Silent Bryce, Holy Bryce", etc) ;o) AgentSmith

I think a "Holiday" theme would be nice to do. It would also give October's winner a while to come up with a great theme for January. As to names, hmmm.... how about Midwinter Inspirations?

Ooooo...poetic title, like it. P.S. - FYI, I'll be doing the vote count tonight, announcing the Oct. winner. AS

I agree with all above, having already been at the holiday spirit. Hmm methinks that statement was not quite right!

Holiday on Bryce! (Holiday on Ice). Couldn't resist the pun, sorry. :^)

Holiday would be nice, it's holiday season next month anyway.

Holiday fine with me, how about 'All Things Bryce and Beautiful'

derjimi ( ) posted Tue, 18 November 2003 at 5:28 AM

I'd love to use the holidays for the challenge, so the deadline ending on Dec. 22th isn't such a good idea in my opinion. Probably extend it until Dec. 28th?

foleypro ( ) posted Tue, 18 November 2003 at 6:33 AM

Holiday....

Andini ( ) posted Tue, 18 November 2003 at 6:36 AM

I like the Holiday idea since the holiday mood will be everywhere anyway. Hmmm...name...I'll get back to you on that.

My vote is for Holiday. How about "Child's Gift". Can be a realism shot of a toy, a child receiving a gift, a child giving a gift, an adult preparing a gift, a child making a "super special gift" for some one they love. Gift could also be an emotion or a hug or other something subtle, intangable but heartfelt. Indoor/outdoor, any locale. Could be very interesting, esp. since everyone has extra time to work on this one. Just a thought. Have fun.

holiday sounds good, but padawanick?? please remember those of us without poser! heheheheh How about Bryce Christmas around the world? we could put our favorite traditions and customs into images..

AgentSmith ( ) posted Tue, 18 November 2003 at 9:10 PM

Deadline on 22nd? (I must be losing it...) Deadline will be on December 27th, we vote for 3 days, winner announced on the 30th/31st, and the October winners will have already picked the Theme for January, so we will be good to go to work on that Challenge on the 31st or 1st. Repeat, lol...Nov/Dec Challenge deadline on December 27th. AgentSmith

Theme.... Or are we going to just do our own rendition of what we think a holiday is?

Thanks AgentSmith. :)
