Well, I can see the texture holds up pretty well but it looks like the greenish/grayish stones look like they came from a different render than the reddish/brownish stones. Maybe it's because the detail on the grayish ones looks, well, more detailed than the others. It almost looks like the tan/brownish stones look like an alpha plane or something. Do you see what I mean?
Hi Chuck, all the texures all came from the same base photograpy. That was using Poser's default lights, so it's probably what you're seeing. I'll do a white light render and put it in the store promos.

No probs Chuck. The texture preview is up at the store now. The blocks in the arches are geometry, using the same texture all the way around, and they will take the light a tad different than the flat wall which is solely texture. That may be the difference you noticed. HTH, ~j~

There is a floor prop in the Megapack. Perhaps in the next set roofs and floors could be added.... or as an expansion to this one.

Ah - I hadn't noticed the extra in the MegaPack, thanks. If you do do an expansion could it include broken and burnt beams, perhaps some ivy swags if that isn't cross-packaging with the other lines, broken doors etc.? I realise this would make another full size pack rather than an little add-on, but you've already got a lot of my money so why not have some more :)?
:)) Well the idea is for all these construction kits to work together. We'll take a look at it and see what happens.

Ah, that came off rather short didn't it? My apologies Richard, my eyes were going nuts with the combination of the new color scheme and my old settings. All I could think was "must change these colors" We really will see about adding a pack that implements the modularity and work with the existing modular sets also.

I'm with haseltine... Please don't misunderstand...all I'm striving for is perfection, so... I am already working on a battle scene. Your stuff, which I already purchased, will fit in (pretty) nicely. To add more realism, there would only need to be some small piles of rubble, some broken timbers, shattered doors, shutters, etc. I planned on trying to work some in from some other place (other items somewhere...I think baumont [sp?] has some debris) or make some in Vue where I plan to render it. Also, I was going to stick some of the edges of the smaller wall a bit above ground level (while keeping the bulk below ground level...like icebergs) to simulate smaller pieces broken off. So, having said that, some sort of accessory detail pack(s) like that would certainly find its way to my hard drive...hehe. Just a thought.
Yep, I do understand the need Chuck, I prefer to render scenes based in realism over perfect scenes myself. There is another ruins set in a different theme in progress (along with alot of other stuff s) and it will all be finished. That being said, it generally takes most of our products well over a month from their inception to the testing pit, I just wanted to make anyone interested aware it won't be released right away. Though we do release products regularly, they are generally planned in advance, and rarely rushed.

Oh, I think I understand, Judith. I won't pertend to know how to assess sales needs and so forth. Or predict what will be hot or needed the most. Mostly, I just talk about what I want and hope others will pipe in and help my cause...hehe. I hope some other complementing stuff (for this item) is being planned, modeled, or even being tested. If it is, then I'll be waiting entusiastically. If not, I'll make do somehow. What I REALLY ought to do is learn to model stuff I want myself but, alas, after trying several demos, it's too different a world for me. And, heck, I never even got to the fun part...hehe...texturing something. So...it seems I will be a guy who waits and hopes people will read my mind...LOL. Thanks for all the attention, Judith! BTW, I believe I've dropped over $100 at RDNA this month...I need a break from you guys anyway...LOL!
:)) You're very welcome, thank you for sharing your thoughts!
