Just tried it with two primitives, a shere & cylinder and it works. Just jump into the model room for one object, select the entire mesh & copy it. Exit back to the assemly room & jump into the modeler for the other mesh & past your previous object into it. Go back to ssembly room & delete the one mesh.
Thanks willf, I just tried it and it works with my Poser figure parts. I must say though, it's a stupid way of having to do this simple task. Why didn't Metacreations just make it possible to select two items in the Assembly room and then have them appear in the model room? Furthermore, I would have thought that Metacreations would have had the common sense to make it obvious that they had chosen to use this obscure method if putting two objects into the modelling room, or at least to have mentioned it somewhere in passing somewhere in the manual! Thanks again, willf, now I can begin to use the program again. IsaacNewton

Can anyone tell me how to join objects in Carrara. When I import two objects into the Assembly room, I can't seem to get them both into the Vertex modelling room at the same time so that I can join them together and work on them together. I know I can create numerous primatives in the modelling room and work on them but it seems impossible to import multiple objects (two would do!). I would like to be able to construct one piece of my final object, save it, construct another piece, save that, construct a third piece, then join them all together. Surely that is possible, or what use is the modelling room?
