Awesome lighting and great conduit you have there! ;P Very awesome bridge so far. This scene has great potentila to go in lots of different directions. It will be great with people and (a few) cars, and a nice background the gives the scene depth. Keep us posted! Something about this really screams "night scene" but I think that's the lamp posts talking :) Great work so far!
Zhann, yes I did model this in Bryce, and all the work you and JC(Jen) have been doing with heightmaps and lattices gave me inspiration. the main structure is 4 lattices using a Heightmap that I made by arranging Bryce primitives(assigned various shades of grey) and rendering them from top view with sunlight disabled. The railing and lampposts were made in Wings3D. Oh, and the numbers were made in Elephont. Thanks! :-)
Conduits? need me glasses checked. You can make the numbers in Wings as well, though they can be a bit low-poly (I wonder if there's a Poser model of a woman of the evening called Low Poly...where'd that come from?..;) You have the makings of of a wonderful freebie here, know what I mean? likes a bit of support..;)

I'd be happy to post this in the free section after I use it in a pic. Trouble is, the uncompressed file weighs in at a whopping 39MB! I guess I could export the lattices to a modeling program and try to reduce the poly count to a more reasonable size. Then of course, there's the problem of finding a host! Or I could write a tut with my heightmap included and offer the railings, mats and lampposts as a smaller download. Sort of a build-your-own kit, lol. Does that sound like a fair alternative?
Very nicely done! Now, how about a boat or two cruising down the river....?

Thank you all for your feedback! I like the suggestions about the night scene, and even thought about having several mobsters on an otherwise empty bridge introducing a soon-to-be-former associate to the fish in the river. Or I could use it in a holiday scene where holiday revelers from a nearby bar are spilling out onto the bridge and celebrating New Years.

I'm on a bridge kick now that I'm feeling creative again. I wanted to model a concrete arch bridge typical of the ones built from pre-WW1 through the '30s. I hope you like it. I'm thinking of putting it in an urban scene with a lot of Poser pedestrians. All Bryce except for the railings and the lamppoles. Conduit made with Madmax's smartpipe and the Render, which took 3min., was lighted with his Zenith lighting rig. Thanks for looking.
