Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 07 7:37 am)
You'd need to skip the Figure number in the injectors for the clothing, as in the "Open letter to DAZ developers" thread a while back, at the very least. You'd also need to be really restrained about the number of folders you took in the Pose library, at least if you wanted to avoid a lynching. I agree about the waste of loading clothing using all morphs on a figure using a selection, though.
Anton, There's a dilemma here, even though the idea is attractive. Readscipt injections (as implemented by Daz) will only work - i.e. inject - on the first figure loaded in a scene. So this would mean loading the clothes first, but then you couldn't inject the figure. So as RHasteltine suggests you'd need to build clothes with FII so they could still be injected if loaded after the figure, but then I'm not sure if they would conform. This would have to be tested. Only other way is the laborious load clothing item, inject, save out to library, close scene, open New scene, load figure, reload clothing. Yawn, yawn ;-) I'd have thought all this would be moot with Studio, and that you with your recent exposure to Studio are thinking along these lines would seem to confirm it. But as the rest of us haven't got any Studio exposure - yet - we can't really comment as to the usability in that environment. But in Poser I'm thinking it would be a wash: what you gained in memory savings you give up in usability.
I disagreed with the way folder were set up. All those folders is just dominating of the pose folder. One folder per clothing item is sufficient. :) I have had no exposure to Studio at all for about a year now. I will end up seeing it for the first time along with everyone else. :)I sent a letter about this to Daz already for them to hopefull look at. Thanks for the feedback. Probably just a nice idea that will never be feasible.

Hi there, I had long ago asked Daz to look into this but never heard back so I wanted to see if anyone here has tinkered with this idea. It seems silly to save resources with inj poses only to reload all the morphs in the clothes. Not that many people even add morphs into their clothesm but we all know the morphing clothes are more popular and in demand. What I was pondering was if it was possible to have identicle dial names in the clothes injecting the clothing morphs like the figure without causing Poser to freak out. Of course the morphs are different but the dial names would have to be the same to allow conform to cross talk properly. But theoretically this could be just the type of thing that will confuse Poser if two figures are in the scene with identical dials. I dread this level of experimentation from scratch. Anyone does any test or interested in experimenting? So the test would be: Have figure and clothing items in the scene and successfully inject morphs into figure firrst and then the clothes. Then conform clothes and have have dials on clothes properly respond to figure settings. Regards, Anton
