As cyn and some other have asked, i'll put this one in the forums. It's the only one out of this series which has seen some more postwork. Had to rise the contrast a bit for it was to dark. This is one reason for not posting it in the galleries. The other ones are no-postwork-pics. Still 3 to go ... :)

OK Thomas. Sorry, i cant write this in english, because i dont know the right words. regards gerhard :O)

Thank you very much Gerhard!! As i started taking photos with getting my hands on a digicam, there's a lot to learn for me. I do like your definition. And - in german - i did understand it ;). So thanks again! Best regards Thomas :)

i didn't understand what Gerhard said... :( but uping the contrast doesn't count as much postwork at all... still a lovely dawn shot, but i suppose it lacks the mystical quality of the other 2... you pick from the best of the best to post & you obviously have a good eye for what looks good :]

Thanks Cyn! :) To what Gerhard said (in short as i do miss some words too): Working with gradients and other techniques are used in a dark chamber in analog photography too. In his opinion (to which i do agree) this kind of postwork doesn't really change the original picture and therefore is no "postwork" at all. According to this, it is postwork, if the picture is changed that much, that is a new picture. Of course, there isn't a hard cut (my words, not Gerhards) :) hugz Thomas

this is pt5 .... will not find it's way into the gals for the same reasons. Some postwork (removing chimney-smoke and some ... "Eisenbahn-Strommasten" <- can anyone translate that please!! :) ... and lacking what cyn called "that mystical quality". But i promise, pt 6 will have it again :)

but the bird & the sunlit color bring the "wow factor" in to play!... "Morning has broken, like the first morning Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird Praise for the singing, praise for the morning Praise for the springing fresh from the world"- Cat Stevens just came to mind :D if this is not the one then #6 must really be something!! licks lips in anticipation :d

I hope, the next one will stand the anticipation .. but we'll see :) and i'm almost sure, you'll still be awake so you may very well be the first one to see it. I really hope you'll like it. somewhatnervous I agree, this one is great (will find it's way into the gals with some other framing and title sometimes), but one should never replace magic by wow me thinks. Even if it would make an excellent cover for that Cat-Stevens-Album (if they still sell it). :) singing :D

somewhatnervous... pfff... you know your pics a fantastic!!! ;o) Hey Cyn had in her mind what I was thinking too: "Morning has broken...." has ever been one of my favourite songs :o). When looking at the bird the song popped to my mind! The colour tones are absolutely stunning here!
