i was wondering if anyone here knows how to import a shape from Cinema 4d into bryce? all responses are deeply appreciated!

You can export it as a .3ds or .obj or .dxf file from the "File" menu, using the "Export" command.

Well, I think rust does not own Cinema 4D to begin with. I know "Quick3D" is a program that will convert a .c4d file, but unfortunately, it will not convert anything past a C4D 5.0 version. Right Hemisphere's Deep Explorer is about the same, it will not read more current versions of Cinema 4D. I'm not sure if there is a converter out there that would do any file version. (?) AS

there's been several older copies of C4d that have come out in the British mags like Digit and 3d World. It's possibly he has one of them. I've done a couple of models in C4d, and exported them as .3ds, and that's with an older version. So I know it's possible..;)

The c4d version 6 that just did the rounds of UK cover CDs will export as .3ds without any worries.
