I got it somewhat figured out, I had a light under the lava to help illuminate the cavern. I applied a gel to the light with the glowing lava texture, and must have messed around with the settings and flare enough to cause this problem, or maybe not enough lights. I added more, erased the one I had and started over, and it seems to have worked. I need to figure out how to use the directional light, it just revolves around a point that I can't seem to find, in oredr to use it effectively. Thanks for your time, Polax, I like the art on your page!

Hi, all, I'm a total newbie to Vue, and maybe I'm not doing something correctly. I am making a scene with lava, inside a volcano underground, so no sunlight or moonlight is touching what's going on inside. I've added a cloud sphere to simulate steam, but when I render it the sphere itself is visible, like a transparent bubble holding steam. I also get this effect with a fire sphere. Is this something that shows up when rendering against the yellow, orange, and red background? Or is there a setting I'm missing when I do a final render? I do notice it when I use the blue night atmosphere, which I use to contrast the red and orange colors of the lava. I would use a different background if that is my only option.
