Subject: creating my own character textures

I see a lot of freebee as well as purchase character texture sets. My question is how do you extract the stock character texture map so you can manipulate it and creat a new fig? I have photoshop 7 and theroytically should be able to try and start learning how. any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Manipulating existing textures for creating new characters is frowned upon (unless for strictly personal use). But you would be better off in looking for seam guides (in the free stuff section) and use them as templates for developing your new characters. Rawn

but how do you manipulate the seam guides? ounce you paint onto the top of the guide how do you load the new tex for use in poser? do you know of any tuts that could help me?

The details of applying textures to objects should be covered in your manual......but basically you apply them by loadig your base figure, then going to your materials section and loading them up in there (for each object group)
