Hi Rita, the reason your textures are applied in Poser is because,Poser knows where to look for the texture map. Bryce does not go searching for the map so you have to put it in the folder that the .obj resides. Make a copy of of the texture map that you want to apply to the figure and paste it into the same folder that your exporting your .obj to. that way ... Bryce will not have to look any farther than the folder that it is currently searhing in. also you could import the texture from the "Picture editor" and apply it with a parametric mapping mode in Bryce. I will try to find the Corel Patch for you, and post a link. I would definatly recommend you install it. (the patch also allows for some new volumetric materials presets, also available for download) Hawkfyr

You lost me on the copy and paste. You say to paste texture into the same folder as obj. file. I can't access the object file if that's the one with the windows logo. I would rather even use the Picture editor but I can't do so since the message won't go away until I go back to Poser and download the texture after receiving the message.I'm sure I'm missing something but Bryce3 was much easier!Appreciate all you're trying to do.
Hmmm. What format are you using to export from Poser? I didnt realize the model was not loading completly. usually when I get that error, I just clik ok and it still loads the model, just without the texture map. Your problem may be starting in Poser, you may already know this procedure, but it's explained in steps for anyone who might not know how to do it. in Poser... pose your model....as you normally would. now ..on the file menu select "Export" you will then be presented with a choice of format. selct wavfront.obj or .3ds format(remember where this file is) you will then see a dialog asking how many frames to export. clik 1. then it will ask you if you want to export object groups for body parts . put a check in the check box., now in Bryce. import the model trom the file menu import option, the model should load with no problem. now just import the texture map of your choice from the Bryce materials lab picture editor. I sent you the patch via Email Let me know it works out. Hawkfyr

Exported Poser4 figure into Bryce4. Textures are included. #1 and #2 are the messages I get in Bryce. I know the textures were exported at the same time. I wind up looking for the textures in Poser as I did for Bryce3. Will the patch help?
