derjimi ( ) posted Thu, 04 December 2003 at 5:17 AM

Hi, first of all: writing in captions the whole time is defined as screaming. Please stop it, my ears are yet bleading. ;-)) For the meshes: you can find those in the freestuff here. Just do a search, there are wonderful models. And look at 3dcafe.com, which has a huge freebie section too. Greets, Jimi

Hello Jimi is right typing in CAPITALS is being rude to others, avoid doing so. If your going to do searches in data bases etc., you will need to check you have the right English spelling to start with. I presume you mean 'Snooker', as in 147 breaks etc.,, and 'Snooker Cues', the wooden implement used in the manuacture of those 147 breaks. Go to Bryce Freestuff, look for 'Search' and click. In the new window type in Snooker, tick non-commercial and stand-alone and you should be presented with an image of a snooker table with balls and cues, textures included. This can be downloaded onto your computer for your private use. Bye now.....Dennis

No screaming, just wanted to emphasise to our friend it was capitals being spoken off and not captions, which we all know should scream at you all the time! Bye now...Dennis

hi bryster it's my name

Dennisld ( ) posted Thu, 04 December 2003 at 9:09 AM

I got there first. Good Grief.......... All power to you Mr.Al-Mohammad. As regards textures of Snooker Balls, you don't actually need to do a lot, they have no numbers to worry about and just a single colour per ball. A lttle reflectivity is desirable so the easiest thing to do is create a bryce sphere, you can here resize the sphere to your required size., Click the 'E' in the panel next to the sphere, this brings you to the Materials editor. Select category Simple and Fast and from the resultant choice select Red Shiny Plastic, Click the Tick and your back in the Bryce window with a Red Snooker Ball. Of course you need fifteen of these, so while you original ball is still selected go to EDIT/Multi-Relicate and put in 15. In the middle box, top line type a 5, all the others should be zeros, the size boxes should all be 100%. Press o.k. and you should now 15 Red balls albeit on top of each other. Select your original Red ball and click the 'E', you can see it's colour in the 'diffuse' spot, to change it click and hold while selecting new colour. You will need a yellow, green, brown, blue, pink, black and a white 'cue' ball. Sorry I'm no good at making chalk!! Bye now........Dennis

Captions/ capitals....... Damn. I need lessons in english. :) I thought capital is the "main city of a state". Sorry! J.

Zhann ( ) posted Thu, 04 December 2003 at 5:34 PM

Okay to clarify for those of us that are not english by nature, let's use 'UPPERCASE', and 'lowercase' letters.... Derjimi, your english is fine, it's the language that's screwy, check this out; Capital, a city or town that is the official seat of government, money used to found a business, the upper most portion of a column or pillar supporting entablature, an uppercase letter occuring as the first letter of a proper name or first letter in the first word in a sentence, principle investment or assests, answer to the question 'how are you today?'........ We have a bunch of words, like that.

No prob derjimi! Now maybe I should work on my Deutsch! Oh, Zhann, if it's the building that the legislative body meets in, it's called the "capitol", as "the U.S. Capitol in Washington.*just trying to add to the confusion, lol.

haloedrain ( ) posted Thu, 04 December 2003 at 9:18 PM

And you can have a capital (ie excellent) capital (top of a column) on the capitol (the building) in the capital (the city)! Sorry, couldn't resist ;)

grin Thanks for the lessons! :-)

bikermouse ( ) posted Fri, 05 December 2003 at 4:17 AM

If I had the captital, I'd go to the capital and see 'The Capitol' while consuming capacious cups of capuchino(sp) and while capitulating to the circumstances rather than decapitatng over captious comparisons of capitulum to capitoline, consider constraining my capricious capriccio. Not t'change the subject or anything but weren't we all talkin 'bout palm trees?

Zhann ( ) posted Fri, 05 December 2003 at 5:21 AM

You bet!

Palm is another word which confuses me sometimes. Are apes called 'palm pilots'? ;-)

bikermouse ( ) posted Fri, 05 December 2003 at 6:26 AM

LOL I dunno. Maybe capuchins are, but they're more of a monkey than an ape.
