Subject: Can I delete the p4 folder if I have the Propack for poses?

Thats basically my question in a nutshell. I have a few poses doubleed. One says PP the other P4, I was wondering if I can delete the P4 folders of those doubled files.

Are they MAT Poses? If so, and you never plan on returning to plain-ole P4, then, yes, you can delete them. The difference is that PP doesn't use the proprietary BUM file format for bump maps that P4 uses.

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.

yep you can... I have PP, and I always delete the items or folders that also include a p4 version.. Saves a lot of room!! So, yep.. go ahead ;)

I delete the P4 version because if I don't, I inevitably accidentally click on it. Which results in P5 hanging, and me having to shut it down in task manager, and losing my work since the last save. :-P

By the way- Many people FORGET to do a search (under WINdows anyway) for *.BUM and DELETE those BUMS! Those @$R%$#@ BUMS take up TONS of space!

Excellent point there, Veritas777 (any relation to RecordNow DX? ;P). I'll bet all mine are still taking up valuable space.

Ok...for the technology paranoid group, you're quite certain that if you are running PP you can delete the .bum files with no repercussions? I've already got some goodies that I have to spend five minutes hitting the "don't search" button on when they fail to come up in Poser.
