Subject: Anyone else have this problem?

Hello, This is weird: The menu at the top of the Bryce 4 interface will all of a sudden disappear, and will not come bac at all. I know you can set it to stay hidden, but I want to see it at all times. Don't ask me why... i just do ;) Anyway, usually after a render sometimes it will simply vanish, and the only way I can save anything is by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL, which brings up the save box. Has anyone else had this happen? Any advice? For a while now I've been thinking that my Windows 98 installation might have gotten screwed up, but this is just TOO weird! Thanks! Mike

Try clicking on the taskbar so that the Bryce button is the one that's depressed ... :) It's not sometimes, even when you're workig in Bryce ... :) Then move the mouse to the top of the screen. If that doesn't work, (it doesn't always, at least for me) then try clicking on it once to make it the "active" app and then again to minimize the window. Then click on it AGAIN to restore the window. That should work ... :) John

I'm on a Mac but I've had similar problems. Usually it happens when Bryce is either running out of memory or if the processor is really thinking about something. Things that help to avoid this problem in my experience is setting the preview window to wire frame. Buidling things in solo mode. So if you have a really complex project, click on the somehting you want to build your next thing by or near and then go to solo mode. That way Bryce doesn't have to show you where the rest of the complex stuff is--just what you're working on.
