have no fear....BiggerT is here!! heres the link....its a character with its own OBJ file.....ENJOY!!!

but the problem i think with mayadoll is that it LOOKS LIKE A PLASTIC DOLL....the knees, elbows, shoulders, and other joints look like the joints of a DOLL....like a GI Joe action figure....the joints are very rounded....the knees look like plastic knobs....but i like it though.....and unless you like to make a character that resembles a japanese teenage girl, its pretty limited in terms of making it look like someone not japanese....the model i think was modeled to be used specifically for japanese looking ideal teenage girls....

well remember/keep in mind it is both a recent adn free stand alone character/figure... If you are dissapointed by some aspect of her, support her as best as you can, and feel free to improve her. i admit she has some shortcomings, but for a free character that SURVIVED 6 months withotu siking / drowning among the v2, v3 and mike flood, it worht respect and support. As for me, needed more japanese looking characters and forgive me but laroo, aiko or any other i saw were failures. Yuka was good in the anime theme though, and for real asiate we have yamato's tenten, cancan and such.. But aside from that...

no i wasnt talking about that goofy lookin grim dude. my name on here is Mrgrimm.

The MayaDoll is a very good original mesh free standalone figure. There are a fair amount of updates, upgrades and clothing items for her. I myself have made a male morph and texture set (yes I'm weird) But most importantly the MayaDoll is the base for the commercial product the AnimeDoll which truly does capture the look and feel of a common style of Japanese Anime characters. As an alternative to the endless run of Vickies, I don't mind a new model

biggert ( ) posted Sun, 07 December 2003 at 6:15 PM

yeah i know what your talking about, Lyrra....i got MayaDude too....nice name MayaDude.... i got a question....what prog did you use to make the morphs for MayaDude? i got Carrara 2.1 and modeling there is a pain...

Lyrra ( ) posted Sun, 07 December 2003 at 6:23 PM

biggert grin All my morphing is done entirely inside Poser using Magnets. In fact, for the three morphs that make the Dude I used no more than 2 magnets for each morph. Capsces studio also morphs using magnets, and you can see her work in the Roxanne, Boris and Puppet packages. for an excellent tutorial on Poser magnets try looking for Traveler's Morphworld3.0

biggert ( ) posted Sun, 07 December 2003 at 6:29 PM

AHHHH!!! DANG!!!!! MAGNETS!!! ive totaly erased that from my mind!!! why didnt i think of that before i made my morphs?????!!! man, i feel totaly stupid now!!!! whenever i needed a morph i went straight to Carrara and modeled there then export!!! and yeah, magnets are a lot more efficient and EASY than modeling facet/vertices via 3DS or Carrara..... ...just like what Al Pacino says....HOOHAA!!! ......i wasted all that time......[::shaking head back and forth:]..... anyway, thanks very much for reminding me.

"...a character that resembles a japanese teenage girl..." Of which one can never have too many.

well, when i see what lyrra could do with only magnets, i definitly need to learn a lot about magnets myself, and i wish i manage to make more basic things than her, but so far i cannot :(

"Also, don't forget Kaedeko, the newest J-Girl on the scent from Zock." Oops, that was supposed to be on the SCENE. Came out a bit kinky :-)
